So, today I was talking with some friends and we eventually came on to the topic of Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare DLC. Naturally, it lead us to the topic of the one, the only...

[HEADING=2]Herbert Moon[/HEADING]

We were talking about how quickly we killed him after the cutscene ended. I eventually wondered: Would anybody save someone like Herbert Moon if in John Marston's position?

I ask you, dear Escapists, what do you think? Would you save such a vile human being? Or would you leave him, happy to have his flame of hatred extinguished from the earth?

Personally, I'd leave him to die as John did. I can tolerate that sort of thing on the internet, but it really pisses me off when I encounter it 'in real life'.

Did you just make a Gun reference?

"You can't kill me! I'm Hoodoo Brown!" I loved those last words.

Of course it wouldn't surprise me if they were referencing another western, but I've not seen that many.

Errr, as for the topic, can't answer, sorry. Not played RDR, never mind its undead DLC.

I'd probably wait for the zombies to eat him a bit... Then light them all on fire.

Actually, he just says that line when he dies. Don't know if it's a reference to anything else or not, however.

Hm, I didn't even notice that. That's cool if it is a reference.

Wow...just wow. I've never played RDR, so I've never had that distinct "pleasure" of meeting Herbert Moon before this. Now knowing who this man is, I wouldn't even bother putting him outta his misery.
Is it in bad taste to have a bewildered smile on your face while watching his tirade? I can only imagine how the voice actor dealt with the lines.

The first time I saw that, I could not stop laughing at what happened to him. Yes, I'm a horrible person. No, that's not a bad thing this time around.

In the game, I'd let him live. He wasn't annoying, he was just so ridiculously hateful that it became funny.

Yeah, I can imagine when he first got his lines. Would be one of the greatest WTF moments.

I'd save him then kick the shit out of him. It probably wouldn't change his ways but it would be SOOOOOO, FUUUUCKING, RELIEVING. Hey at least I didn't kill him.

I'd save him, but then I'd punch him once for every group he hates, plus a kick in the balls for all the british homosexual catholics out there. No one, not even a racist homophobic moron, deserves that death.
