This is the kind of news that elevates the industry. Well done, PopCap. I tip my hat to you (i´m not wearing one right now, so it´s an imaginary hat).

Wow, that's a pretty good use of a Make-a-Wish...kudos for Pop-Cap for letting him do something cool like that.

Ok, if they now will also release it on the PC i will get it.

Also, i never liked the company, nor the games they make, until i read this story.
Way to go PopCap.

more situations like these need to come out of the gaming industry. Keep up the good work developers and other gaming workers. I salute you.
Yikes, if read incorrectly that could have sounded like you wanted more terminally ill kids in the world. Of course we know what you mean, though! And it's nice to see a big company doing kind things. Even if it was just Public Relations, it's still a nice thing.

Now, if more companies started doing this, the world might at least become somewhat better. We can hope.

Might end up buying this purely because of the story, it's heartwarming.

Brilliant story, hope this gets all the attention it deserves. Of course it won't, but we can always dream.

Could be a good game too, with added charity for buying, so...perfect really.

Think I'll get a bit old-school and have a run through Ben's Game [http://makewish.org/ben] in honor of it. A simple game, aimed at little kids, but one that I've seen make a cellular automata fan's jaw drop. (Seriously, beat a monster and watch the playfield.)

Excellent story. While there are many worthy charities out there (including, of course, Child's Play), Make A Wish has always been one of my favourites. What they do for children dealt some of the cruelest cards life can deal is not only impressive but also even better because it's personalized to each child they help. Kudos to them, and kudos to PopCap.

Awww, ilove that heartwarming, puppy-like exterior. That really brightened my day, and my heart is apparently ice-cold.

PopCap? RTS? Their own twists? Pizza and cake?

I'm perched on the fence waiting to see what the iPad 3 looks like, but this will be on my watched list. Good on them for making the kid's wish come true.

Did anyone else read the title as 'This 9 year old kid had a really gruesome idea for a game, so PopCap went and made the little punk's curbstomping, teabag fest'? (I'm mean grammatically)
Yes. I blame Xbox Live. I have never been cursed at like I have been by 9 year olds... O_O

This right here, gentlemen, is why I'm proud to be a gamer.

I'm gonna buy this game for a few reasons: first because PopCap have been awesome, second because I'd love to see what can come out of a 9-year-old's imagination with the help of a professional dev team.
