Popular game franchises you've never played.

Pokemon, for sure. Never had the slightest inclination. Seems really dumb.
Also Madden. I'm a huge [North American] football fan, but never once had any desire to play any iteration of the Madden franchise. When I see a game that asks that I navigate menus over gaemeplay, or complicates what could easily be a simpler interface, I'm out.

Any and all Sports games - Football, American Football, Basketball, Baseball. I care not for any of them.
I got a copy of Fifa 2010 when my 360 died and I bought a replacement, but I didn't touch it, and the £20 I got for selling it probably bought me something that I was interested in.
On another note, I had no idea that Baseball games were as popular as they are. According to this source, MLB The Show 21 is the second best-selling game of the year. I'd never even heard of the franchise until this year, too.
The same goes for Skateboarding games, too. Everybody seems to have crazy nostalgia for the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games, and the Skate games were really popular amongst my group of friends, but that particular genre just completely went over my head.
I've also never touched a Resident Evil game.

I've avoided playing a single God of War ever, short of mildly trying it out at a friend's place. I even had a PS2.
Being console deprived post PS2, I basically never had access to some of the big titles and launch franchises. Like Unchartered or Last of Us.
Also avoided playing any Assassin's Creed. Even though I've played some of the newer Farcry-s and tried out a bit of Watch Dogs.

I've never touched a From Software game. I appreciate what they do, but for the most part I just want to relax when I play video games and I prefer challenge to come from learning how to do new things over time and not, as they say, from banging your head against the wall until the wall breaks.

holy crap, I've at least tried a lot of games over the years I guess. It helps I have a group of friends that have a wide variety of taste in game genres. It also helps that what I can add to the list is.

Leaving out the biggest time-sink genres gives me a lot of time to try out different things I suppose. I did play the original Neverwinter Nights, but that was so early in terms of online gaming it hardly counts as MMO.

Same. Even back when I had way more free time, I deliberately chose not to touch those style of games for a reason I like to pay once for most games and get my enjoyment out of them. I wanted nothing to do with subscription fees that pile up.
