FRIGGIN PRIEST!? If you've seen the movie, and know more than yours truly, than what actually happened to the priest that was dragged down to the bottom of the sea by the mermaid at the ending? I mean... I've even watched the "secret ending" that comes after the credits, but it says nothing about what happened to the priest?? It may be a small thing, but I just wont accept that the mermaid just ate him or something, if they wanted him to die they could have just let him die when he saved her. But when they put in that extra part where she brings him with him, a guy gotta start asking questions. I would assume she brought him to the fountain, since she seemed like she actually wanted to save him, and she showed she could swim to that place too, BUT, the fountain was destroyed and Black Beard and Angelica drank the last drops?
So it just puzzles me why they had to go all that trouble if he was going to die anyway? IF he did... And from my experience there is seldom unimportant events in the PotC movies, and what is with making movies these days which leaves you wondering like this? Inception did this shit too! Good movies, but because of this shit I'm left wondering "what happened?" instead of thinking about how enjoyable the experience was... This should be a ground rule for good story telling these days, closure, to be able to leave the theatre feeling fulfilled.
This might not be something that bothered everyone, I dislike priests in real life, they are bitches in real life, but when they are in movies... They often have character growth, they become interesting, so that's why I wanna know :/
