Prank Morphs Office Cubicle Into Sonic Level

This Sega-themed office prank is better than making someone sit on a whoopie cushion, almost.

I've had it up to here with the office prank where someone's cubicle and every object on it is wrapped in foil. It was hilarious at first, but I'm sorry, now it's old hat. That's why I couldn't be more pleased with the prank Sega pulled on a co-worker recently, turning his cubicle into something more videogame related.

After Sega's Aaron Webber was foolish enough to take a trip to Europe, he returned to find he now had to do his job inside of a Sonic the Hedgehog level. The Green Hill Zone, to be exact.

Sega employees turned his cubicle into an accurate replica of the original Sonic level, and the most memorable in my mind because it was just simple, speedy fun. The cubicle featured the Green Hill Zone's clouds, flowers, trees, annoying fish enemies, and even rings and powerups to collect. At the end was the Dr. Robotnik/Sonic spinner so Weber could finish the level, but there was oddly no Chaos Emerald.

It's such a good cubicle prank that I hope Webber left it up and went to work in another spot instead. Foil be damned, we have a new king of the office pranks, though I suppose it wouldn't make as much sense to do the same thing at a paper factory.

This is why I hate working in an office where the average age of the employees in my division is 47. Nobody ever does any stupid fun things like this :(

This is where typical 'work' thought goes out the window, obviously you can't do stuff like this all day all the time, but occasionally letting something like this pass by without stomping all over the spirit of your staff, in terms of blowing a few hours on something daft...

Well, it can actually repay you in terms of staff morale far more than a few more hours number crunching might have done. Also, I'm sure this wouldn't have happened in a 'busy' time anyway. No-one looked particularly rushed :D

Hell, if there's a spare desk, leave it intact, and it's a permanent reminder that you don't run your office like a sweatshop, permanent morale boost for the cost of a few hours work.

EDIT: make sure the prankee isn't like Milton from Office Space first. "gnnasetwholeplaceonfire....mystapler..."

The Sonic cubicle is awesome but if it where me I wouldn't rest until I had tracked down every memorabilia they had given away, And brought the culprits to slow and painful justice!

Wasn't that also the music they used in Phantasy Star 2 for walking around some towns? Pretty sure it is.
They're from the same company.

That was awesome! This is why games cost so much to make, you have to pay for developer shenanigans!
