So, after reading some posts on FML, I wondered how many people got screwed over by predictive text. This could be anytime a message was sent from anywhere in which the device substituted the word you were going to type for something nonsensical or something that'd make an akward moment.
I'm going to explain briefly the least bad yes (yes, 1) option and the worst yes option (yes, eleventy bajillion)
Yes, 1= For eg, you were trying to type "hey, do you wanna meet somewhere
". However, your device predicted and wrote hey, do you wanna make someone
". Not that bad, slight akward moment, easily forgotten or explained.
Yes, eleventy bajillion= Your typing an elaborate love text to your fiance and the predictive text writes Melissa instead of Megan. Your fiance thinks you cheating on her she calls to yell at you while your at work and everyone hears. She then takes $$$ from your joint account and uses it to buy a paintball gun and ammo, with which she thoughtfully decorates your car, house and balls with.
happy thoughts. You burn the pieces of your phone.
