It looks like a rather gimmicky version of Blacklight: Retribution, and that game is rather fun at times but nothing special.

Will it also be free-to-play? I may check it out.

This game looks really, really, really boring. I don't even know where to start. The greyness, the worn-out voice, the overexposed graphics.

The gimmicks.

As a console FPS I can see this doing quite well - as a PC FPS I can see people with that incredible "snap accuracy" just dominating non-mech troops.

I think it'll be my kind of game, I really enjoy FPS games that encourage 3 dimensional movement.

This looks like a pretty good game. I just hope that Titans0 aren't invulnerable to the point that it's near impossible to take one down unless you're another mech. Also, 20 minute matches?! Hell yes! Aside from wallrunning, jetpacking and ledge climbing(and vaulting...ofcourse), was there anything else related to movement? Leaning, sliding...etc?

I'm so glad that they're not slow mechs. I've been waiting so long for a mech game on PC but other than Front Mission Evolved (which sucks) every mech game available focuses on the slow, chicken walker kind (to my great dismay).

Hawken's mechs are relatively fast. At least, as far as I remember. Beta I was in was so early so I couldn't tell.

For this demo they wanted to drive the wall-jumping mechanic home, but that's doesn't necessarily mean leaning/sliding/etc. won't be in the game! Also, the mechs definitely aren't invulnerable. It does take a lot to bring one down, but you can jump on their heads and rip their cords out to kill them fast. I believe this was shown off during the Xbox One press event, so take a look at that for more!

I've seen that, it was basically the only thing(Project Spark aside) that sparked my intrest. I meant inveunrable as in so much mobile power to the point that it's super difficult to latch on to the back of the titan.

If I'm honest, Titanfall was one of the only things coming out of E3 that piqued my interest. Certainly not the only thing, but definitely one of the few. Most of everything else just felt dull, boring, insipid, uninspired, or rehashed. (certainly were a lot of 4s and 5s in game titles this year, weren't there?)

Granted, there isn't much that was shown in Titanfall that feels uniquely "fresh", but it certainly feels like a fresh take on some tried-and-true mechanics. If nothing else, it could be the Brink game we were promised but never received. (and now, with mechs)

Good to see Respawn, though working within the same genre as before, can come up with creative ideas beyond just rehashing their earlier creation. (Call of Duty 4)

Time will tell whether they can recreate greatness or if COD 4 was indeed just "lightning in a bottle".

Awww, c'mon now. Have some love for jetpack parkour. :)

OT: So it's running on Source? CoD devs certainly have a thing for ancient engines, eh?

Most of what we saw was cinematics. The textures are weak. Notice the black cell-shading border, yet they are not cell shaded? The gameplay looked like COD in tanks that just happen to man shaped, and the environments were not noticeably destructible. What was selling this to me: The monotone (voice, textures, and action), or the enticing story of retards invading my personal space?

Will probably pick it up used. Very used.

I really wish we could stop with this stupidity,

bullets are not magnetic!

it's literally this dumb:

there's maby 1 or 2 types of highly specialised bullet ( that actually has iron content! ) that could be vulnerable to magnetic interception and you wouldn't use them on a mech anyway..

It's not even asking for realism... just basic logic :(

other than that, it looks pretty sweet. might get me a copy.

Dear developers (and most likely publishers, too),

stop having Dravel McGravel narrate an over-used, badly written, and tired script to wrench an emotional response out of us. It doesn't work. If all you have to show for your game is more brown and b(l)oom, it makes it even more lacklustre.

jetpack-parkour + not always grey-brownish surroundings (the first few seconds i almost turned off the vid (+ the narrator... urgh. sick of war, probably alcoholic, made a promise to dead friend/wife/brother at arms, yaaawn), but then! sunshine, bright blue water, a shiny ship or something!) + not completely common mechs + innovative ways of disabling them?

if it'll be on the PC it'll be on mine for sure - finally some (hopefully) fun dakka!

captcha, waddaya say? - "oh em gee" - nah, don't get TOO exited

funny enough, the DICE-guy's statement about sci-fi settings for shooters comes to mind ^^

I don't get the hype for this.
It's basically a gray brown shooter with mecha that move like sluggish humans.
The mecha seem like a gimmick in the real meaning of the word.

Blacklight Retribution doesn't have jetparckour (coined it right now, it's mine, don't touch it!), but it has the "summon a mecha from the sky"-thing. And goddamn-jesus-christ-insanely-detailed weapon customization. And it's free. Is Titanfall free?

I mean, it's the most exciting thing from Microsoft's press conference, but it doesn't seem too fresh. The NPC-controlled "popcorn"-enemies sound like an interesting addition. I also hope they make the titans something more than a killstreak reward (maybe make them customizable).

I still don't get the multiplayer-singleplayer integration - how will that work? Will you go mission-to-mission like in a single-player shooter, but you'll be able to pick which side you're on? I guess matches would then resemble a MMORPG dungeon/raid more than a simple deathmatch. And what if you lose a "mission", do you have to retry and win to continue in the campaign?

Well if you could take them down with a single person that would kinda defeat the purpose, maybe use landmines or sabotage like in the trailer.
agree with that...

but sadly i have to agree with that too:

all the additional things presented in this game just seem to be "cosmetic"
the Jetpack only is a Double Jump doing the same thing as the "press x" action - only smoother...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5sqPxbLmIU&t=1m14s
there s no difference between a hole just half as high up there through which you can jump without jetpack...
the same thing goes for the "parkour" you're only able to run on these specific platforms...
(imagine what you could do with a PrinceofPersia-Level of wallrunning)

there is NO difference in playstyle between a footsoldier and a mech
the mech does the same thing only in bigger...
i would make sense to have hand-to-hand-combat between mechs because they aren't that vulnerable to bullets...
why not really combine two gamestyles...
i keep thinking of these...http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/images/8103-1.jpg
giant robot electroshock-sword fights - if that wouldn't be awesome...

or why can't i use the extra strength to throw environmental things like cars?

you don't get a tool which creatively can be used depending on the situation...
you get one restricted Situation to use one specific action...
for example the magnetic glove is only a "blocking-action"
you can't use it in any other situation...and only to attract and reflect in one direction...
(do you know what possibilitys a gravitron gives you - or even an tf2 Pyro airblast?)

that's my first impression...

so... yeah it is BETTER than COD but still not really GOOD...
i wan't to challenge people not their guns bullet-count...
