Since Doom Eternal comes out in 3 weeks I might as well post this. It's Civvie again and he just put this out earlier. Discuss and be polite.
I recommend you pick up Doom 4 again. Especially with all of the updates, snap map, and arcade mode (all weapons are automatically at max of their respective upgrades). Doom 4 is at the very thing you described about the COD mines. Doom 4 has aged better nearly every console shooter on the market that tried copying either Halo, COD, or Gears. The only non-COD shooters from Gen 7 that have aged well or decently are Bioshock 1 & 2, Vanquish, F.E.A.R, Condemned, and Bulletstorm. In my opinion, they're far better than all of the COD clones or COD itself. While Bulletstorm does suffer from the get behind cover to heal mechanic. The game has personality, fun characters, huge weapon varietyIn the Definitive Edition you get a weapon wheel in New Game+. Kinda makes the vanilla versions somewhat obsolete., a cool upgrade system that encourages to kill with skill, and is a colorful looking game. It was a better Duke Nukem game than Forever. Sucks that it ended on a sequel hook. We know it's not gonna happen.Summerstorm said:It's nice when Civvie has some fun and really enjoys something.
Still it was more enjoyable to watch him go insane over "Kreed".
I was wondering if i should play Doom again. I remember it being fun, but not getting into the "Best game ever rescuing FPS from the "Call of Duty" mines. Maybe a second playthrough might be better?
Well for the new Doom game: I will certainly pick it up... when it's on sale the first time.
It's not a day one buy if you've already bought it.CoCage said:I got my pre-order completed months ago for Doom Eternal. The game is a day one buy for me.
Semantics. I'm still picking it up on release day.Squilookle said:It's not a day one buy if you've already bought it.CoCage said:I got my pre-order completed months ago for Doom Eternal. The game is a day one buy for me.
Fucking, genius! I never imagined something like this happening! Thanks for the video!Chimpzy said:Someone beat Doom 2016 with a Guitar Hero controller:
Which begs the questions, does beating it this way count as shredding out the most brutal face-melting guitar solo of all time?
