Hello fellow Escapists,

I was trying to set my DS up with Wi-fi earlier today, and low and behold it decided not to work. The funny thing is is that my Wii works with the WEP code that I gave it while my DS says that it can't connect (DS Error Code 51300). Has anybody else had this or a similar problem? How did you fix it?

heey!
Listen I have the same prob, I used to play on the nintendo DS lite and my wifi never worked.
Back then I didn't really care but now my ds lite is broken and I bought a DSi XL..
The funny thing on this thing is that the Internet on the DS system works fine. BUT! when I want to go online PLAYING the game...
IT DOESN'T WORK!
The wifi thing, you know,
So I got on the internet doing my research and I found: ALOT of stuff about Error code 51300.
People saying it has to do with WEP key that needed to be fixed or changed (I haven't tried)
and the way to do this is to put the IP code (something like this: 123.442.0.1) of your router in the web browser
and it will lead to the settings page of your router. There you can change lots and lots of stuff...
Most people'll probably say go to your wireless options and change this and that, or go to firewall options and give it less protection so it will accept the ds in the wifi system or the router- idunno, or they'll say the WEP key thing... IT COULD BE ANYTHING!
I haven't really figured out the settings page of the router, but I will and you should too. Then we can find an answer to this problem :s
I wanna really wanna go online playing on the Ds...

Does this apply to all Wifi, or just the one you're using?

Try another Wifi spot and see.

What the... a ressurrected six month old thread...

Move along, folks.

I had to change my network SSID and key a couple of times to get it to work properly. The SSID kept appearing as some glitched up accented version and connection was impossible.

>Edit, Pff same as above >.> Should really read date posted...

I really did read date posted and guess what, I want to figure this out that's why I asked
do you think I care how old this is.. -.-'
and I do not have some glitched up shit..
I figured it out already
i went do the settings page and there was somewhere "wireless" so I went there
and clicked "WPS" again somewhere
then it sais: Wi-Fi Protected Setup Information
a lil down it says Authentication Mode: Disable
my only question is.. how do i ENABLE it if there is no option to click or change anything...
