I have honestly never played either of these games, but this trailer and the idea behind it is enough to make me want to pick up a copy once an English version is available.

OH GOD THIS IS AWESOME.

Does seem like quite a time jump for Wright. All the eyes are of a different design too.

Wait...they AREN'T against one another? D'aww! I wanted to see them use the Super "OBJECTION" against layton:

Still, this is pretty much an example of a perfect crossover, and i don't need to say why. Now if you'll excuse me i am going to pass out now, due to the rather sizeable nosebleed and subsuquent bloodloss from watching the trailer *passes out*

Pheonix: o_o Oh no, what can I do? At this rate, she'll definately be found guilty! ... HEEEAAALP!

Agents: *Burst into the courtroom* ARE YOU READY? 3 2 1 GO!

...and at that point in time, and only in this time, Whales rose from the ocean with wings as gold as the majestic Squibblenizzle Gizzilgar, and gasoline became $0.07 a gallon.
None of that happened, its just the definition of Epic.

The next closest thing to it is a Phoenix Wright/ Professor Layton crossover.

I am definitely going to put money down for a 3DS (Gimmick laden or otherwise) just so I can play this.

I'm totally on board for this.

Seems to me that Layton is prosecuting. This may be a case similar to Apollo Justice's encounters with Klavier Gavin where, to the prosecutor getting the guilty verdict is not as important as revealing the truth.

The fact the Layton is accusing someone of witchcraft seems outside his character, he is very skeptical about the supernatural. This makes me think that he's prosecuting for the purposes of getting close to the case at hand.

...Holy moly. A friend told me about this in class today and I didn't believe it!

Wait, so how are they going to explain this? Professor Layton is in steam-punk England and Phoenix Wright and co. are from not-too-distant future Japan.

It was a transportational dingelhopper from the not too distant future England that went bonkers -nod-
