Project64 Emulator troubles - Keyboard issues

Hello Escapists, this is my first forum topic and after searching the CoolROM forums for an answer I decided to try here. I want to play Pokemon Stadium for the first time in years so I downloaded project64 and the rom. After loading both up I get up to a screen checking for a game pak and I can't get further. When I try to change the plugin settings it tells me that the only game device is none. How do I get it to recognize my keyboard as I don't have any kind of controller for PC and my Xbox ones are wireless. Also I have no clue about plugins or anything like that so please make it as simple possible, thank you in advance.

You need to go into Options--> Configure Controller Plugin and then reconfigure the controls to your keyboard. In my opinion though, using a keyboard as a substitute for an N64 controller is not going to work well. Even using a 360 controller isn't all that great but it's better than a keyboard.

Ahh thanks, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I've just ordered a controller (N64) and a usb adapter. Thanks for your quick reply
