For some reason today when I booted up my ps3, I noticed that I couldnt move across the xmb. my controller cant go down, left, or up and is stuck on my friends list and cant move. Now I used a different controller to boot up a game and when I got ingame I could freely move my character and they wouldnt go in a single direction, but when I brought up the menu, my controller suddenly would go all the way to the right and then stops.
does anyone know how fix this? It was working fine just the other day... now this may be a theory though but the other day my friend was playing Soul Calibur 4 and he is a button masher and so I really could hear the controller being pressed whiled he played and half way through a match suddenly his character would be stuck in block mode. but this had happen before and it just required a controller turn off but this time it wouldnt work and so we had to switch the controller completely. Could his button mashing have hurt the controller?
