PS3 Controller Problem; Turning Itself Off Randomly. Any Help?

I recently bought BlazBlue and ever since I played it, specifically on Arcade Mode, my controller will turn itself off. Any game I play, it'll just randomly turn off.

It turns its self off at the start of every round in BlazBlue arcade mode and will do it in Fallout 3 after accessing a new area. It also does it at random times when I'm walking.
Haven't tested any other games yet.

I highly doubt it's just cause the controller is old.
My PS3 is a year and four moths old and is played about every other day for maybe three hours at a time.
And the ONLY time I've ever unplugged my controller from the console was when playing Heavy Rain.

And just a few minutes ago I had to keep turning on the damn thing when I went into the XMB to turn my system off.

Anybody having this kind of problem or can anyone actually help me?
I say actually cause god forbid you get any legitimate responses on forums.

Try to hit the reset button on the back (bottom) of your controller.

Following that (If it doesn't work, that is,) turn off the system, plug said said controler into the system, turn it on via the power button, disconnect controller from USB.

That, or batteries.

Does it do it when it's not plugged in? Could be the cable is a bit worn and can't hold a connection when you move, I know if I plug mine into the charge cable whilst playing it'll lose connection for a second.

1. New batteries

2. If you load something to much, you wear out the battery, so that might be it.

EDIT:

I know this is kind of off-topic but this is what drove me mad with the PS3. Battery runs out? Better hope you wasn't doing anything important because it won't even pause the damned game!

In the console wars, that was definitely a battle the 360 won on.

I reset the controller, put in BlazBlue, started playing arcade, and it seems to be working correctly now. Maybe it was just coincidental.

I'm getting a new controller to be safe but it may be a while cause I don't really have $55 to spend right now.

Is the controller plugged in when it is turning itself off?

If it isn't, what I'm thinking has happened is that the battery has completely shit itself because you have left the charger in for that long, similar to what happens to a laptop battery if you leave it on to charge all the time. The more you leave it plugged in when it isn't necessary, the less time the battery lasts for.

If the above doesn't work, then you need a new controller.

Anybody know where I can find DualShock 3 batteries, I've got a dead dualshock in my draw, and I don't wanna through it away because their expensive (i'm a cheapstake!)
