Hello, everyone. My roommates recently discovered they like playing the PS3.. together. So I'm looking for more games we can buy and play together. I figured.. why not ask The Escapist for recommendations?

So far the only CO-OP games I have are Resistance: FoM and Army of Two, both of which my roommates have enjoyed.

I'd like to create a list of games that support split-screen CO-OP as well as local multiplayer "head-to-head" titles. Unfortunately it has to be completely offline as we have no internet in our living room, nor a router.. Yet.

Split-Screen Co-op
Army of Two
Resistance: Fall of Man
Resistance 2?
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Call of Duty W@W
The Simpsons Game
LittleBigPlanet
GRAW2
Pixel Junk Monsters

Local (offline) Multiplayer (Players)
Resistance: Fall of Man (1-4)
Resistance 2 (1-8)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (1-4)
LittleBigPlanet (1-4)
Smackdown VS Raw (??)
Street Fighter IV (1-2)
GRAW2 (1-4)
Overlord: Raising Hell (1-2)
Monopoly (1-4?)
Motostorm: Pacific Rift (1-4)

Any help adding to/editing these lists would be greatly appreciated.

LittleBigPlanet for sure.
I know Bomberman (the PSN game) is local multiplayer also and I think Resistance 2 is as well.

No list.

Additionally.. Does anyone know if Unreal Tournament works offline coop/competitive? The "More Info" section on http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/unrealtournament2007/index.html?tag=result;title;0 shows 1 player but Offline Modes: Competitive, Cooperative, Team Oriented

Smackdown VS Raw. Even if you don't like/know about wrestling it's awesome creating yourself and mates and forming stables/tag teams and kicking some booty.

Burnout Paradise has the new(ish) Party mode. i've never played it, but i think it's supposed to allow for eight players taking turns on a controller.

Street Fighter 4
Warhawk has split screen vs for up to four players. Not very fun though, because the maps are so huge.
GRAW2

Warhawk still requires you be online..

GRAW2? Gamespot said it didnt have offline coop.. but if you have played it, i'll take your word for it.

That and could you clarify which ones you say are coop and which ones are just multiplayer offline?

Wait, how is LBP split screen? Aren't all the players on the same one?
True, but I consider it in the category.. More than one player playing together on the same screen.

A bit of clarification: are you guys hooking up two or more ps3s? If so, Warhawk. Also, get Warhawk if you eventually do go online. 4p split screen and a hell of a lot of fun.

May I recommend Pixel Junk Monsters, Marvel vs Capcom, Overlord, and while I don't have it personally Monopoly is fun.

Just one PS3.

I have warhawk and it is AMAZING online.. We just can't go online right now.

Have Pixel Junk and Overlord.. I'll add those to the list as well.

Also, Katamari Forever is coming out soon. I think that's going to have 2p.

I also think Burnout Paradise has a party mode now but it's one of the DLCs you have to pay for and I'm not sure it's worth it. The game pales in comparison to Burnouts of the past.

You'll definitely have some fun with the Zombie-Mode in World at War. Just remember that you have to play it through once (single-player) to unlock it.

I also warmly recommend LittleBigPlanet.

Edit: There is also a Co-op campaign-mode as well as local multiplayer in World at War.

Edit2: Whatever you do, do not buy GRAW2! This cannot be stressed enough. It is completely worthless! You will have absolutely no fun with it.

Ok you got me there.

Also as far as a suggestion you might want to look into Motor Storm: Pacific Rift. It can support four players, has really beautiful backgrounds and graphics (which is nice for when you crash), and while I am not a big fan of racing games, I absolutely love the series so far.
