Probably beating a dead horse here, although I can understand your dislike for Diablo, D2 and DA:O. All three were really similar so it's understandable that if you didn't like one, you wouldn't like the other two.

What gets me is the elephant in the room: Mass Effect. Each to their own I guess, but it's very different to the other three.

Baldur's Gate 2. With (1 or both expansions, probably both not sure) for 20 euro's.

Deinstalled it within 5 minutes <_<
Managed to sell it on ebay a few months ago.. half the money I got for it was spent sending it :(.
Baldur's Gate 2 had a second expansion? :(

I guess I missed it.
I got confused.. Baldur's Gate 2 had a subname.

So there is BG2: Shadows of Amn and BG2: Throne of Bhaal.
So there is only 1 expansion and 1 confused gamer.

I bought Stranglehold, owned it for about a year without even cracking open the box, and then sold it. Well....at least I only lost about 5 bucks

Fallout 3.

It was technically a birthday present and after playing for an hour I immediately realized I hated the setting and atmosphere :( (Welcome, Wastelander, to the world of INFINITE GRAYS AND BROWNS!!)

Felt so bad for making my parents buy me it.
So you didn't like it because it was Gray and Brown.

I don't like vegetables but I eat them anyway.
But it's an RPG. You spend the ENTIRE GAME walking around in nothing but different shades of gray and brown. You kill monsters that are gray and brown. You talk to people who are gray and brown. I didn't make me want to explore it, because it's all the same.

That, and V.A.T.S sucks. Why would you aim for anything other than the head? It's skilless.

You know, I don't think I can come up with a single one. While there certainly has been many purchases that I regretted after a while, there hasn't been any I regretted right away.

My iMac, after I realized that that I just pared an extra $1000 for shiny-ness.
This is also my most quickly regretted purchase. It didn't even come with a decent keyboard or mouse. As for games it's Borderlands! For being nothing but a boring grind! With no story, and a stupidly tedious final boss!

Mega Man: Network Transmission. Here I was thinking it was a sequel to the Mega Man Battle Network games and it turns out it was, but the game was more loose than someone's bowels after prune and laxative smoothies.

Oh, did I mention it sucks? It does. Hard.

That's about the only game I ever recall having regret for buying, but I'm still young, and I am going to eventually buy a 360 and PS3, so only time will tell.

Fable 3, wow, anymore streamlined and it will all be a cutscene. I had to do a double take as I thought I was replaying FF13.

No, they were actually really boring. The gameplay itself. Mass effect and DA:O had wonderful storylines (from what I've heard), but the gameplay, although good, was just far too repetitive in DA:O's case, and just not satisfying in Mass Effect's. It seems like it should have been fun, and I can't figure out why I didn't find it so. This is my opinion, obviously :p
Advice for Mass Effect, try playing an Adept. If you want it to feel a bit more satisfying, it's quite fun to start throwing people around with Biotics. Go with Lift, Throw, and my favourite, Singularity, and you'll slaughter.

As for DA:O... Well, I loved the story, but even I haven't been able to force myself through a second playthrough.

On topic now, 187 Ride or Die. I got it for $4 at Wal-Mart for the purpose of wasting an afternoon and seeing how bad it was. In that sense I was satisfied I guess, but it's only gone in the console once, and out the window twice...
I was an Adept! And that's why I can't figure out why I didn't love it! My rational mind was saying 'holy shizzle dude, you just totally zonked him up and shot him over the edge', but my reaction was.. well, not up to the standard of which I seem to be setting for the game ):

But my God, the interactive cinematic, right at the start, when the ship wall was blown off and you were strolling through the newly opened hallway - That was heavenly.

Ninety-Nine Nights. The trailer playing on a loop in the game shop fooled me into thinking I was getting a good game, went home and played enough to learn that it was just a Dynasty Warriors clone and immediately regretted the ten bucks I spent on it. I've tried playing it again a few times since, made it as far as the fourth level because there's only so much drudge I can take before I have to abandon it.

Since then I've subscribed to Yahtzee's philosophy that trailers showing only cutscenes and no actual gameplay do not count as trailers; and I've made sure to either research a game that looks good before I buy it, or get the opinion of somebody that I trust who's already played it.

Just Cause. No, not the second one. I would have rejoiced if I'd bought that. The original.

Take note that I only payed about 5 bucks for it on PC and I still felt like an idiot. I could have bought two Whiz Fizzes for that 5 bucks!!

The Orange Box I KIND OF regret. If it wasn't for TF2. That saved it. I got for the Xbox 360. Then for the PC. I still play both versions
wtf man, p.o.r.t.a.l.

What exactly were expecting from the game, that was completely demolished in front of you within the first five or so minutes?

OT. I'd say Dawn of War: Platinum Edition. Not because it is bad, but because the only reason I bought it was for the Dark Crusade Expansion, and the Disk was fucked so only Dark Crusade wouldn't install.
bittorrent to the rescue!
