it was interesting, but i hope that's the only one. I mean look what happened when the "Irate Gamer" realized that James Rolfe's character is popular, a veritibale crapstorm of comments on both people's videos going "OH LOLOLOL U COPIED DAT FRUM DA IRATE GAMR MAH GRAMMAR ONLINE IS GUD".

I'm not saying the video was bad. i enjoyed it, I'd just not like to see the person who made it have a bunch of uninformed fans of zero punctuation (you and I both know that there are a lot of them) going to all the guys videos saying "YOU RIPPED HIM OFF"

At least the maker of that video said it was a parody/homage to Zero Punctuation, unlike said Irate gamer, who claimed to be entirely original.

Also: i'm not defending the irate gamer, i think he's god awful.

and they say the internet is just full of people ripping everyone off and churning out poor imitations of stuff that’s popular.

Please God of all that is holy I pray to you please smite down the genius who decided it was a good idea.

British people taking the piss is funny, americans doing it is just annoying, its not their fault but americans are just have genetically inferior funny bones, and no understand as to why and when swearing is funny!

Oh and he "thought" calling himself Nazi was funny!

I thought it was acceptable, for a parody... if you can call lazy plaigarism a parody. If anything it served to make yahtzee's ego throb nicely.
But i'm not complaining, moar ego = moar zero punctuation.

I guess imitation is a form of flattery.
The P.O-guy gives credit to Yahtzee and ZP at the end credits of the video so I guess it's all fine as well.

B.t.w, there's a Higher-Resolution and Higher Quality video of that same episode right here [http://www.purepwnage.com/episodes/s2/5/].

For some reason, it wasn't too funny. Perhaps it was the terrible accent...

Pure Pwnage was around before Zero Punctuation, Pure Pwnage did a few of those paradodies and did a pretty good one in regards to TF2. He's not American, he's Canadian, all he needs to do is pepper in a few 'ehs' and you would have recognized the accent. PurePwnage in itself is just a skitshow, I did find the few episodes pretty good, but then around episode 5-7 (can't recall, not going to go and check it out.) it started to turn a bit too... Epic. They're also responsible for 'FPS Doug' which if you don't know what that is, shame on you, and I'll at the very least say that they're taking their thing to some pretty good levels. I think they're even on tour now.

I'm saying all this, and I'm not even particularly even FOND of what they do, but I acknowledge they're doing a fine job regardless. On my closing notes of 'Nazi', it was a phonetic pun on you know, Yahtzee? Phonetics, do you speak it? That's actually pretty funny, I didn't laugh at it or for the rest of the parody, but I never laugh for ZP, my brain just knows it's funny and goes "Ah! Clever, I see where he's going with this, nice."

Words words words aside, if you'll excuse me, I need coffee, badly.

Yes I understand Phonetics; however trying to get a cheap laugh from Nazi's is just lazy.

I never really liked FPS Doug either. Maybe their humor is beyond my comprehension

Ah Canadian, guess that explains it then.

Or, he did it for legal reasons and it actually does fit... Croshaw can be quite, Draconian in his reviews. As for FPS Doug, that's fine, but he's become a phenomenon in his own rights, BOOM! HEADSHOT, people know it, but he cinched it... But yeah, Canada, same people responsible for some of the greatest comedians and shows around, pretty obvious. You'd argue that point with me, but if you watched shows like Just For Laughs or Kids in the Hall, you'd see Canada has a pretty funny populace, they have no guns or indoor plumbing so they make funny to have the time pass by before the sweet, sweet release of death.

Oh, and my coffee was delicious, thank you.

Obviously there would be no other phonetic puns they could have used? Dammit Fahtzee would have been more amusing, especially to the general populous of the interweb

And I’m not going to argue that there aren’t some funny Canadians I mean I'd have to laugh being that close to so many Americans. However I maintain the UK produces a better quality of stand-up comedian, true we can’t right decent sitcoms any more but hey.

I liked it. Mainly because I've watched all of series 1 of PP and thought he worked the accent really well.

I like that they keep up to date in their parodies. I havn't actually watched the last couple of episodes but I enjoyed the first series through and through.

And Doug didn't just cinch it, the character practically invented it. People watch that video without knowing where it is from and that makes me a sad panda.

I liked the parody. Good on them.

Fartsy? Are you serious? That's absolutely juvenile. There's one thing with being crass and swearing, but toilet humor isn't part of their regiment. Nahtzee is not lazy, I'm pretty sure I'd piss myself if I saw Croshaw in person sporting a longcoat and some jackboots while he did one of his reviews. He does have a certain voice and certain power to his narration, and it's not a far leap of the imagination to make the connection. Not that it's bad, but it is a brick shitting "what if" situation.

Also, Canada is very much influenced by Britain's taste of comedy, it's just that not a whole lot of it gets out of Canada, which is a shame. If you're a connoisseur of good times, then I recommend Royal Canadian Airfarce or This Hour has 22 minutes to get your more 'Canadian' flavored comedy. Don't forget most of the stuff that gets abroad is filtered through the states, and so it has to go through a shit-brown sepia filter to appeal to them, or not get through at all.

Ah, another great Pure Pwnage Episode... I really don't like cliff hangers, though :(

I thought it was really good :) Then again, was a fan of Pure Pwnage long before ZP.

PS: I didn't even think "Nazi" when I heard the name,... I saw Not-zee as in Not Yahtzee. I think you just didn't want to like and pick it apart. Like our friend Mr. Croshaw, in fact XD

Leave the hating to him, lol.
