[Billion Backs]

I already did. Watched pretty much at night this saturday...

It was a pretty solid movie, although it does stumble and fuck up it's apparent initial idea some time around the middle. The jokes were a bit banal, the action scenes - awesome...

Of course, I've been a little bit "under the influence" while watching it if you know what I mean, so it might not be the most objective view ever.

But overall, yeah, it's a fun easy action movie. Nothing deep, though. And 11 year olds kicking ass FTW.

Edit: and satire on general superhero tropes is awesome whenever it happens.

Just got back. Its ok, but it felt a bit schizophrenic at times. Hit Girl is a great character and worth the entrance fee for just her scenes.

i saw it, its pretty good,
and unlike the looks of the movie in the trailer, its actually pretty gory.

at first, i thought:
this is just a kiddy "kids trying to be heroes" movie,

but after some research i discovered it is more close to Kill Bill than it is to Spiderman.

i mean, there are closeups of people getting their face shotgunned off, or a part involving a industrial sized wood microwave (and a poor soul aswell).
It is fun though, but for this to be enjoyable you should be able to watch a movie like Kill Bill without having issues about it.

also, the gory stuff is gory, but in a very violent and over the top manner.
its not "realisticly" gory like you see in the more recent SAW or Final Destination movies,
that sometimes even grosses me out.

While a bit uneasy about the whole "eleven year old running about and gibbing people whilst swearing" issue, I plan on seeing eventually simply because it is a premise I feel is long overdue, and because I'm a huge Nicholas Cage fan.

This movie is awesome, not just coz of the backlash, but its funny, well written and got awesome action scenes.

Saw it the opening Saturday. Was absolutely awesome. Though, go with a group that respects and understands violent humor, and see who among your group is the most depraved.
