I would have gone batman, but after seeing the opening video in DCUO I'm gonna have to say Superman! He's just do badass! Nice to see him show a bit of rage and use his powers more destructively.

I wasn't much of a comic person at all in my youth (Unfortunately, hindsight tells me I should have been) but even then I was less so a DC person, I'll pick batman though for his villains. They were some cool kids those villains.
*Insert obligatory 'we are all define by our demons' justification for the criteria on which I based my choice*

To be fair the Bat's just the only one I really saw much of.

#1 - Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) - A creative mind with a fearless man. Plus, that ring is pretty snappy, and I wouldn't mind having one of my own.

#2 - Wonder Woman - Who can't like her? She's tough, smart, a gift from the Greek gods, and a humanitarian in every way. (Please, someone, fix her continuity. She's not a biker woman.)

#3 - Zatanna - Not only is she a linguistics whiz, having to speak her spells backwards, but she's a classy heroine and takes on otherworldly beings easily.

None of the above:
I agree, John Constantine, despite not being "super" is by far the greater. Ordinary man fighting super natural powers. He's the Dr. House of exorcisms.

The poll result came as no surprise to me. Of course batman is gonna win this. But I've always liked the villains soooooo much more in the batman universe.
Calendar Man never did it for me...

If I don't go near any beaches I'm safe, so... No, he couldn't... As I rarely go to the beach and it's even 10 minutes from my house.

My statement still stands :p

Side note: how is Aquaman ahead of Wonder Woman?

That's why I voted him, WHALES!
Aquaman is not lame. He has super strength and a damn HARPOON HAND.

Those things don't go away just because he's on land. And the reason he's ahead of Wonder Woman is because she's basically a Super Mary Sue. The only interesting thing about her was the lasso of truth and I haven't seen that thing used as anything but a rope in forever.

Saying Aquaman's lame is like saying pirates are lame because they can't shoot lazers from their eyes.

...

Though lazer eye pirates would be pretty fucking sweet.

The Flash. Oh the things I could do with super-speed...so many applications...

Plus I find Superman boring, and I just know everyone is going to vote for Batman (what a surprise, turns out they have)

I would have voted for Green Arrow if you'd put him up there, just because anyone who dresses up as Robin Hood gets my vote

I'm amazed, I wasn't at all expecting Batman to dominate this! None the less Batman is just awesome.

Gee I wonder who will win. I wonder why everyone enjoying the anonymity of the internet enjoys the dark shadowy broody hero more then the others... hmmm. Serious hero is serious.

No love for aquaman, man the dude got his hand cut off to look more cool and he still can't cut it. Even less for Wonder Woman. Come on people show the female hero some love.

I say Cassandra Cain, aka Batgirl Mk. IV, was my favorite DC Comics character. I didn't understand her "handicap" when she was introduced though (the human brain doesn't work that way DC!!!)... :p

So true (+1 btw). Almost every non-villian super in the DCU is a walking aesop, in one way or another. Their actual flaws & bothersome quirks are so frequently upstaged by the fact that they're written as "pillars of (the greater) justice" &/or "walking peace-makers" that most DC comic story arcs are basically a race in which superhero(es) learn the most life lessons in each crossover.

Does Booster Gold count? If not, then I am going to go with Captain Marvel.

Also, fun game to play. Come up with any villain in the DC Universe. Then, ask yourself one question: Can Aquaman beat him. If you find a positive answer, then you are doing it wrong.
