I want them to build a Metal Gear, Preferrably a lifesize Arsenal Gear hanging over Tokyo like some enormous ostentatious sword of Damocles.

Or Rex, I like the more mechanical mecha aesthetics.

And also lamer.

How about the Zentraedi or Tomahawk from Macross, that way we get to be lame westerners and think they're from Mechwarrior. Everybody wins.

OF the shows on the list my favorite is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. However, if the gurren lagann were to built, it wouldn't feel as "real" as it was in the show. I may not make a lot of sense, but still i actually don't want it to be built. It wouldn't suit our world.

However, Lancelot was awesome and it wasn't that huge, so building that would be neat. At least that's where my vote went.

The coolest mech ever! Mad Cat may be iconic, but its stock weaponry is unbalanced, while this is just perfect. And looks great.

The problem is Japanese will certainly stick some school-boy in it, Chinese will make cheap plastic knock-off with half firepower, Russians will remove its legs, arms and torso, installing only cockpit with weaponry on tank chassis, while Americans will will waste couple of EU budgets on R&D, build ten perfect machines and cancel project due to high cost and contract bribery.
I doubt we'll ever see combat mechs at this rate=(.

Funny because it's true. Also, is a world without combat mechs such a bad thing?
