I'm reckoning Howl's Moving Castle, actually :p

Technically, it is a robot!

Oh my fucking god.... YES! THEY MUST!

Although it's more of a golem, they are both the same thing, technically, so it doesn't really matter..
They need to have it built with an interior as well! With an actual furnace system!

More EVA's or just Gundams. I really don't care either way. They are both shiny. :)

What about a giant version of a Custom Robo? Preferably Halberd because that was my favorite. Only problem is that they are about 6" tall so it would have to be scaled up quite a bit.

no mention of The Big O?

I at least want the Burning Gundam.
Or how about just The O?

Also, I think the most realistic option is building a true to life Megazone 23 or VOTOMS mecha, since they are at about four meters height. I need to watch these two shows...

Man that was cool!
I really want to play the Super Robot Taisen games but most of the good ones are still Japan only.

BTW what were they fighting in that video?
The opponents looked a lot like the Waldaster from Tekkaman:The Space Knight.
I have no idea, to be honest. I am actually not much of a mecha buff (yet), beacuse I only developed an interest for the genre relatively recently. Even if I was though, I wager they are from some sort of Super Robot show and I dislike most of those.

And yes, sadly, most of the SRW titles will never see the light of day outside of Japan as the amount of licensing required (due to the various shows included) would make it preety much unprofitable (although, with a translation guide, one can play the Japanese versions as well). That might change in the future, given that Namco Bandai now owns most of the mecha-related IP's, but it's still very unlikely.

That said, Banpresto/Namco Bandai is making a DS remake of Lord of Elemental (originally for the SNES) as part of their Original Generation saga. OG titles include nothing but original characters (with the exception of the Endless Frontier spinoff), which means they are free of any potential licensing issues. Combined with the fact that Banpresto/Namco Bandai does not have to deal with Sony Entertainment regarding Japanese voice acting (which is suspected to be the reason why the remakes of Original Generation 1&2 were never translated) and it is not impossible that we might see the new Lord of Elemental in English. =)

(NOTE!: The following websites are safe as they do not include ROMs or illegal material of any kind. Just a notice for any moderator that might be worried.)
Also, while we cannot expect most games to see an official translation, that does not mean that some of them will not be translated period. Infact, the awesome translators over at Aeon Genesis [http://agtp.romhack.net/projects.php] have translated the original Super Robot Wars, Super Robot Wars 3 and Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden and are also working on translating 4, Alpha, EX and Gaiden (which is the original Lord of Elemental). In addition, The Romhacking Aerie [http://kaioshin.romhacking.net/] is working on translating D, J, F and F Final. So overall, that is three translation projects finished and eight in the works. Not bad, if I do say so myself. ;)

Anyway, you got me talking about Super Robot Wars, so I suppose you have earned yourself this:

Unicron. Obviously. Since the good stuff (Warhammer, Battletech, Liberty Prime, etc.) don't count. Damn Japan. :p

Hahaha nice.

I love Mecha Anime/Manga/Video Games.
So the SRW combines many of my favorite characters and Mecha into one of my favorite types of games.
Im glad that there is a chance we may get the games yet.
I really hope that banpresto hurry's up with SRT OG Saga:EF EXCEED though.
I want that sequel so bad, i absolutely loved the first game.

And that video is so freaking awesome.
He looks like one of the "Tanks" of the game, considering how much Damage he game and took and the freaking critical hits.

I'm gonna have to go with Liberty Prime on this one. He could kick any of those silly old Gundam's asses any day of the week.

My vote was for the Lancelot (it would be quite small compared to the current two, though) but I'd also love to see a life-sized ARX-7 "Arbalest" from the Full Metal Panic series =]

Clearly, we need a robot who we can count on not to go crazy and protect us when something goes wrong and all the other giant robots try to wipe us out.

Therefore, the only logical choice is Optimus Prime.

If I could see a Titan from WH40K I'd have a nerdgasm. They could make one, after all, they support WH40K over there.

I want a 1:1 scale Macross Variable-Fighter, but I want it to be functional, as well. Pity it'd slaughter its own pilot from ridiculous G-forces...

That said, it's a realistic-type. If you want a SUPER ROBO, as opposed to a Mecha, you'd need to look at Gurren Lagann [http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3024/2636061244_b78ddf9f3d_o.jpg] for the modern equivalent.

You want dating? Like carbon dating, maybe?
This was my idea for it:

I voted Other, and I think they should start to build a full platoon of Red Alert 3's King Oni unit. Those things would be scary on a real-world battlefield, especially with their laser faces.
