Not yet, i'd like to though, frankly someone of my size and stature has little risk involved, unless, y'know, i get stranded in a strange place.

I joined a local wow guild through an old friend, and met a whole lot of new people that I've caught up with a few times. Plus I was introduced to my girlfriend of over 4 years over MSN by a mutual friend of ours. We talked for months before we ever met face to face.

Many, many times. In fact, a fair majority of my IRL friends are people I originally met online. I'm going out with two of them (my regular drinking buddy and his fiancee) tonight, so yeah.

It's not something you should do until you're an adult, though. Unless your parents are around to make sure nothing weird's going on, of course.

yap. i think it would be boring with them in reallife. it's cool to chat and talk with them, but in reallife i wouldn't talk with them i think. we have one hobby together, the pc stuff, but our other hobbies are very different.

Yes but only one do I still talk to. It was myspace, and we just happend to run into each other out on the town one night. After that it started happening alot for some reason, and still does. That was about 4 years ago now.

Yup. A bunch of people from a forum I was on decided to meet up, and had a great day. Several of them knew each other already, but I'd never met any of them.

Erm, kinda... There were two girls that I went to school with that I met online, then later met them in person...

A number of times, and it's worked out well more often than not.

Recently, I met one of my friends who's from Wisconsin (and I was in New York for college). She happened to be in Germany for a semester, and I happened to go to Switzerland with my wife for a conference. We met at the border, and, I have to say, it was one of my more interesting meetings of online friends. (Two people from the states randomly end up nearby in Europe? How does that happen?)

Most of my former WoW guild was based in a city only a few hours away. I'm gone down and chilled with them many times. Most of them don't play anymore and work/money has kept me away from them. Still itching to head back down there for drinking and general liver abuse. Some of them are pretty cute.

Nope, but hopefully I will some day.
So very much of this.

The person I quoted is one of the ones I'd like to meet as well.

Yeah I made friends with some people on Myspace, and I actually met one of them. The other I still talk to her but we haven't met yet because she always lags it on me.
