questions about black ops multiplayer

im really excited about the edition of the crossbow, in all FPS i tend to be a stealthier player (where possible) and i think this weapon could be very stealthy but the problem is that in all the videos ive seen its ruined with a stupid exploding arrowhead, i was wondering if it will have normal bolts available or is explosive tip just an attachment

I doubt it. It's meant to be a special purpose weapon.

And to be honest, the only special purpose it serves is getting the game-winning kill in S&D

It has an exploding head always, sorry. . . however it would be cool if it didn't. . . maybe there will be a mod for PC where it doesn't explode

gutted, i was really wanting to use it online and be stealthy. seriously whats the point in having a crossbow if its only explosive arrowheads, isnt that what grenade launchers are for. thats just so lame, the one weapon i was looking forward too and treyarch fucked it up and turned into a glorified grenade launcher

I am pretty sure you can change the bolts to normal ones - Which act as 1 hit kills.

I don't think it does - There's a lot of footage of sticks and stones where the xbow is using exp heads.

I know you already have your answer but just to add a little more weight to the evidence, I am 99% sure I have seen a vid of non exploding bolts.

I know at the very least, in campaign, you have a crossbow without exploding bolts in one of the missions.

I wasn't 100% right, but I'll take it.

The very instance I saw that weapon in one of the first videos and watched as the arrow exploded a few seconds later I thought, wow Treyarch is taking a cue from Gears of War. But ever since then, I have yet to see anyone on TV shows like X-PLAY or online forums like say The Escapist, make even any half-assed attempt to connect the crossbow with the Torque bow.

Well, actually they stole it from Rambo 3 specifically.

Rambo blows up a soviet attack helicopter using a bow with exploding arrows.

Also does one of the best kills I have ever seen, that poor Vietnamese Sargent/general guy, I guess that's what he gets for being an awful shot.

I don't think stealthy would work in a COD game, too fast paced.

Psh, say that to my silenced scavenger, cold blooded, ninja class that I use with a throwing knife.

I am a shadow, following people, teabagging them when they stop to camp, and then pegging them in the head with the throwing knife.

I don't like the knife, no room for error, hard enough getting kills with an explosive.

I have made stealthy classes, they never worked out too well for me. Maybe if I unlocked sit rep pro it would help me (make there footsteps 4 times louder).

I am a turtle beach user and all I can hear is explosions, my team mates running around like loons and gun fire. So sit rep pro would highlight there footsteps, which would help me.

Not looking forward to unlocking that though, chore is an understatement.
