First, everyone judges everyone else by all kinds of things, and skin color is one of those things, for better or worse. Would you prefer to date and marry someone of your own race? That is judging by color. Same if you tend to make friends with those of your own race. However, I would argue this isn't racism but freedom to act upon ones personal preferences.ninonybox360 said:

With this definition, in America, generally the problem would be whites being racist against blacks. Every race is racist. If you've got some Korean or Inidan friends, just ask em what their parents or grandparents have said. You'll be amazed.
The key is that the younger generations shouldn't be held to previous generations standards. The black and hispanic children of those in the 60's and 70's haven't had to grow up with institutionalized racism, (there's individualized racism, which everyone is a victim of at some point, even myself being called a racial slur, the point is that banks and gov't offices don't have set discrimination policies anymore) and the younger white generations are/were not a part of that system.
I feel no guilt because I haven't done anything to anyone and I've had no advantages just because I'm white. Being lower-middle class white ment being at a disadvantage because me or my parents couldn't afford college, and there's no race-based scholarships or quotas (unless you're first generation Irish or something). The only thing that helped me was good credit ratings that gave low interest rates and financial aid

Lets be perfectly honest here.
Whites have had a crack at just about every other race on Earth,including other whites.Referance the History between Scottish tribes and the English.It happened.How many Scotts do you see blaming/berating their English contemporaries for their history or modern day problems?
You cant seperate deeds done in the past from the morals,culture,technology,geography and events that shaped those deeds.
Keeping that in mind I'm cynical of people playing the oppressed by racism card as an excuse not to make inroads into their own lives.Its just an excuse plain and simple.Basically people are lazy.If their lives are shit or unfullfilling then chances are they've done fuck all to reverse the situation themselves and are looking for a scapegoat.Especially for those of us that live in modern,democratic western countries.

Maybe a race is a group of people that share the same traits. Like a family
If racism means the belief that certain "races" are better at others at particular things, then isn't Blizzard racist for giving trolls faster regeneration than tauren?
Or is racism the act of treating people differently because of thier genes?
If the later, then isn't it racist to take your daughter to school, and not the other kids who are strangers also might want a ride? Is it not racist to take care of your mother when she is sick or to help pay for her medicle bills when there are others that may need help with thier bills as well? How about protecting your brother or cousin from a bully and not taking as big of a notice when he/she picks another target?

How about for me? My family never owned slaves, how do I know? My family was never in a country with black slavery, yet I still have taken stuff.
