Rate Green Lantern's Film Costume

Wasn't Seth Rogen meant to be the Green Lantern at some point?

He's playing the Green Hornet, sounds the same though very different to the Lantern, like a cross between Batman and the Punisher.

The trailer for it was released a few weeks ago actually, you can see it on YouTube and stuff, it doesn't look too bad, it depends on your taste.

Good costume, I guess. Nothing spectacular or different, just a classic Green Lantern. Better than the stuff we're seeing from that Thor movie

I still just think it's a stupid idea to get Ryan Reynolds and NOT do Kyle Rayner GL.
Would fit Reynold's acting/humor style much better. I know Superman: TAS did an amalgam of Hal Rayner/Hal Jordan origin stories put together and it worked really well. Still think it could work, since its about the theme of Green Lantern, not a frame-by-frame telling of the story.

I still would have liked to see the John Stewart GL, the Justice League TV show worked so well with him instead of Jordan

I'm more concerned about some of the people who they have as these new super heroes. Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogan. These are not haha jokey laugh roles that they've been asked to play. I suppose I'll have to wait and see if they treat the roles with the respect that they are due.

I wouldn't be too quick to worry about that. Ryan Reynolds has done roles that aren't Van Wilder before, and he's done pretty well. Check out 'The Nines' and 'School of Life.' They're pretty good. Seth Rogan's character is a bit of a long shot, I'll admit. I don't really even like him as an actor myself, but considering The Green Hornet started as a radio show in the 1930s I don't really know anyone who would pull that off well now. Or anyone that would watch it, for that matter.

but the costume is pretty good looking, much more modern for an overhaul, which im fine with.

a little more black would have been nice, but ill take it for sure over how bad they could've done it

edit: the mask could still use a tweak though but i like this one a lot more then the magazine cover one (which i thought was just OK)

Edit: Okay, so it was only the OP's provided picture that made the emblem on Green Lantern's chest look way too much like Ironman's, well, battery. Still meh.

Aside from those green led lines that seem unnecessary... Looks good to me. In fact if you remove those lines its pretty much the the same as the comic version. By the way... why does he need the eye shadow. The mask isn't good enough? He has to add a bit of make-up to complete it or everyone will know who he is because they can see the flesh around his eyes?

I like it, it says that this is without a doubt Green Lantern. While doing something different and neat with it.
overall I would give it an A- THe Pants are kinda throwing me
