Also i was pondering this concept. Considering this was made to allow her to cosplay the character, we need people to cosplay portals, a Companion Cube, and cake (glados if anyone wants to figure those details out).

Then you can run around "firing" portals and chasing the delicious cake with your handy dandy companion cube.
Would make me actually care enough to not only go to one of those conventions, but dress up.
