Reasons To Buy It:

1 - Your reasons sound like they where thought up by a 12 year old, Thus I as the Internet King declare them false
2 - The Subscription Plan is only for a Spin Off
3 - It looks pretty f'in good.

Fine, then how about you don't buy it and us people who like the gameplay and still have money will buy it. We will then laugh at you, because you didn't buy it.

I'm just saving the money and buying the legendary edition of reach... I hate C.O.D, but it is the only game people EVER play.

First of all i want to state that im a cod fan and i am not bad at the online.Im not a hater ive put like over 50 hours putting all cod together.Ok so while looking through the internet ive seen many of the bad things activision has done. After hearing all these things and realizing that black ops will be the exact same thing i decided i wont black ops For the following reasons
1. Buying the next will make them think they can keep it the same
2. Buying it will support their idea to make a subscription plan for COD
3. They didnt pay the bonus to the workers of modern warfare 2 and this really pisses me off
4. it will play the same and im tired of this
5 it will give money to activision
6. The map packs are ridiculous and i dont want the absurdity to continue
7 price aint worth it

Reason 3 like i said makes me angry im not going to support people like that. Anyone else not gonna buy and why
Let me answer those "reasons" in order.

1) It actually might be good have you considered that idea?
2) Fine let Activision be a dick. Once they see that the plan doesn't work they'll pull it
3) This is treyarch they have no business with the problems with IW.
4) Ok some people actually like it. If you don't like it, fine. There are other games to choose from.
5) No shit. If I pay for Bad Company 2 I'm give money to EA.
6) It's called marketing dumbshit and it worked for IW.
7) Well keep waiting for another Valve game because every other new game will be expensive ($60 if you in America) it's not just Call of Duty.

Let me reply to you in order
1. Are you content with constantly playing the same thing ? anything if used too much is bad and will just ruin the fun
2.They wont pull it theyll get enough people to pay for it
3. Have you no soul dont you feel bad about those who were scrwed over by activision greedy ways. If that happened to you, you would be pissed
4. same as the first
5. You just support them saying its okay to be a dick
6. The map packs in WAW were good. these new map packs are a complete scam its hurting consumers
7. I dont mean $60 game expensive i mean $60 not worth what i paied for a year ago
Let me AGAIN answer you in ORDER.

1)Yes I actually quite am. Seeing how it the first CoD was my first hardcore game and I'm hooked on it.
2) Fine then. If they don't then I don't have to give them money. I'll just revert back to older CoDs. But right now they haven't yet so enjoy the freedom now.
3) HELLO LOOK AT THE FUCKING AMERICAN ECONOMY! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ASHED DIPSHIT! PEOPLE ARE BEING LAYED OFF EVERYWHERE! IS THIS A FUCKING SURPRISE TO YOU! MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! HAVEN'T YOU REALIZED THAT YET?!
4) derp
5) Never said that. I said let them be one. I never said I'd support them when then do.
6) their money, their decisions.
7) rent the damn thing then! That's what I plan on doing with black ops any way!

I never hated the call of duty games that were made by Treyarch, but I always felt they never lived up to the Infinity Ward ones. When it stands out in sales and ratings, Call of Duty 2, MW1 and MW2 are on top. And although that's not my sole reasoning, it's a brief parallel I'm drawing to my feelings about the franchise and which ones I think are the best. And I'm not a fanboy. I'm just stating my opinion.

Honestly, my stepdad will wind up buying it on day one, but even if he wouldn't I'd still buy it. I liked World At War and both Modern Warfares, and my dislike of Bobby Kotick isn't enough to deter me.

the problem with that is in oh so many games such as halo 3, COD WAW, COD 4, GoW, etc the DLC was required for at least part of the multiplayer, so a game that costs "$60" will actually cost more like $90 because to play online you have to buy the map packs, which will never become free. COD 4 map packs are still at least 5 bucks why should i blow more money on a game that i already played full price for, especially since the idea behind purchasing a game is that you are purchasing the rights to use the content of it, and i would assume content includes multiplayer map packs
Halo 2 and Halo 3 would like to have a word with you on that.

Prior to Xbox Live Original eating the dust, all four map packs of Halo 2 were made available free of charge. The Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 became free a few years ago, and while this isn't technically becoming free, the Legendary and Mythic map packs have received significant discounts this month. One of which is now $2, I believe. Cold Storage is free. Furthermore, if I have my facts straight, you can enter most of the playlists without all the DLC, and it'll just put you in maps you do have.

Using your own example, if CoD4's Variety Map Pack is $5, how is that not a discount? It used to be $10.

All nitpicking aside, did you seriously claim that purchasing a game means you purchase rights to use all content on it, including map packs? What bizarro world do you live in? Yes, you are purchasing the right to use the content of the game that's on the disk. The problem with your logic is that the map packs are, get this, not on the disk, and therefore a separate license altogether.

I haven't played a CoD game in my life, and me and my friends are all pre-ordering it and setting up a clan.

So... yeah, be quiet now.

actually, most of the playlists wont let you enter without the content if you try to select a playlist where DLC is required it will tell you "players do not have the required DLC" and your icon will flash until you change to social slayer or lone wolves, the only playlists that dont require it.

also, those map packs for COD4 and the legendary map pack for halo are like 4 fucking years old its pathetic that they're not free

and yes, when i buy a game i assume im buying all the content for that game, since without some of the content (such as map packs) you're not buying a full game, in which case why the hell am i paying $60 for an incomplete game? also my original point was that if you bought the map packs when they came out they were like $5-10 each

It's made by Treyarch, so I don't quite wanna dismiss it quite yet. I am still prepared to burn it at the stake if it lacks any legitimate differences. I've seen the E3 demo and I'm not particularly confident in it being very new and game changing. The helicopter gameplay is interesting, but not much more than the snowmobile chase or the raft chase in MW2. We'll see... We'll see.

1- agree
2- you got a point there for people who like the multiplayer
3- I dont get it
4- isnt that the reason its a sequal?
5- I dont get the hate for activision
6- I think I can agree on that
7- I agree completly ts probaly gonna cost 60$ and the single player would only last a weekend

Im not going to buy it, simply because the call of duty series is not my cup of tea.

I wont get it, same as I havent got any of them, just doesnt interest me at all.

But tbh I see it being a clone of MW2, and yes I have played MW2. I see it being a clone, because MW2 worked for them and was successful, so why wouldnt they do the same again? Yeah new dev, but its still Activision they have to answer to, and like any business, they want to make money, thats the point.

1) I still have a bitter taste in my mouth after CoD4: 2.

2) While Trearch can do a great job with some aspects of a game they don't understand level design at all. I loved CoD "5" to death but the level design in both multiplayer and the campaign was basically "walk down this corridor, shoot these guys, walk down this corridor..." and demonstrated a general lack of understanding as to how people play maps.

3) I really do not agree with the direction Activision wants to take games. Nor do I support the pay-to-play model for a game that basically sounds like its COD on a monthly pay model. No thanks.

4) CoD is a franchise that should have been put in the grave at 4 or 5 and called a done job.

I'm tempted to buy it because it's made by Treyarch. In my opinion they somehow always were able to make the game something special. On the other hand maybe this franscise should just die quietly. It isn't doing anything good for the gaming community with it's higher prices and millions of blind followers...

If I remember correctly, most of the playlists in Halo 3 require mainly the Heroic Map Pack, which, as I said, is free. If you don't want to get it, frankly, that's your own fault. I also stand by my original point about Legendary costing only $2. I mean, really. You can afford $60 games but not a few maps for $2? What?

Also, yes, when you buy a game you are buying all the content on the game disc. That means no map packs. The game is by no means incomplete (unless you consider the lack of a basic Forge canvas incomplete, in which case I point back to the Heroic pack, and therefore Foundry, being free), and it's fully playable without any DLC. As for the matchmaking itself, I find it difficult to expect a developer to not make playlists for the new multiplayer content simply because a few people are too stubborn to get the DLC.

Here's the real kicker, though, the one that should kill your entire stance on DLC. They're expansions to a finished game. On account of being expansions, they are using up more of the studio's time and resources to be made, and that has to be accounted for separately. What the hell kind of entitlement issue do you have to believe that anything made for a game after the release should be handed to you on a silver platter for free? Seriously. Maybe you should start acting like Black Ops or Reach should be mailed to you free of charge as well. It may seem ridiculous, but it's no different from your demands for free DLC.

If we were talking about the costume packs in Street Fighter IV, or the extra chapters in Assassin's Creed 2, then you may be on to something, but not in the case of map packs.

I know for a fact I'm not buying it.

To be honest, it's mostly because money's tight and I'm already buying Halo: Reach for its multiplayer, that I'll actually like (If they haven't changed it too much since the beta).

And that means I can also just throw on a little boycott hurrah to give the finger to Activision and their annual CoD game.
