It would be easier with a little bit narrower list. What sort of games do you like? What sort of games do you want?

That Intel HD Graphics 3000 isn't going to get you very far, but it should be enough to play some older games, from like the Xbox one oh wait, I mean Xbox original (fucking dickheads) era. What kinds of games are you looking for though? Shooters, action games, RTS?

Your card is a little better than the one used in this example so you might find you can do a little better, but still a list worth a look.

For the longest time I was in the same boat as you, except my graphics chip was considerably worse (to the point where it had no DirectShading support, which cut out the vast majority of games) and my laptop was obviously a lot older. There are ways and means to squeeze out a few extra frames, and even to get some games working when they shouldn't. In my case, I had a program called 3D...umm something. It forced software to do the DirectShader calculations so I could run stuff like Knights of the Old Republic, and such. Endless amounts of tweaking was required though.

Here's a little list of some stuff that I personally recommend.

Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 - if you like RPG's you can lose HOURS to these games.
Torchlight 1&2 - Diablo like games, as above, great timesinks.
FTL - Space based rogue like, hard as french kissing a cobra at times though.
Binding of Isaac - Top down, twinstick shooter roguelike. Great fun, but again, kinda hard work.

Captcha: Namby Pamby. Come on captcha, don't take the piss out of the guys chip.

Why not use systemrequirementslab (or) Can YOU Run It?
All that does is compare your PC's specs to the requirements on the back of the game box, which are just plain lies at times. It also doesn't have any sort of nuance in comparing hardware (old game requires a dedicated graphics card according to the official requirements? Failed due to integrated graphics chip, even though it runs circles around the game when you actually play it).

Alright... Allow me to help you here...

You ever tried the Serious Sam series? They date back to 2001. This is what you can expect from them...

There's no doubt whatsoever you could play Doom on your computer. But why not make things a little more interesting?

Ever try Shadow Warrior? Classic...? Reboot...? Or how about both?

I could also certainly recommend the Half-Life series.

If you've been watching Zero Punctuation, you probably know Yahtzee loves Painkiller. There's a reason.

If multiplayer's really your thing, Tribes: Ascend is one of the coolest multiplayer shooters I've ever played.

Hail to the king, baby! Gotta have a classic like Duke Nukem 3D!

One great little shooter that often gets overlooked is simply F.E.A.R.

Many people will clammor for GoldenEye, but I think that NightFire is the best 007 game in existence.

I am an enemy! Boring, boring, bo- Wait... what?

Oh, yeah... This. Can't really tell you why Spec Ops: The Line is good. That'd spoil everything.

But enough about shooters. How 'bout a platform RPG hack & Slash game like Dust: An Elysian Tail?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MVaAZcxb54

I find it amazing how Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale takes a concept so mundane and makes it so much fun!

Do you like 2D platform games? Do you miss 2D platform games? Well, this was an excellent throwback.

It can be difficult to find a horror game these days that's actually horrifying. SPC Containment Breach has you covered.

[Prototype] is one of the best power fantasy games you could hope for.

Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. What!? Stanley. Stanley. Stanley. Stanley.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1S796fXtl4

Then there's also Touhou. But... I seem to have a hard time finding trailers for that series. They seem to be all muddled up with all these massive fan project trailers, due to having one of the immensely-dedicated fanbases of all time. The games are free, though.

For your shooter needs, buy DOOM - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/18397/
And use a modern source port like Zandronum or GZDoom https://zandronum.com/
Plus Serious Sam the First and Second Encounter http://www.gog.com/game/serious_sam_the_first_encounter

For an RPG. Try Planescape Torment

I have the same specs and the only games that gave me trouble were The Witcher 2, Alan Wake and AC4.

You should be able to run most games on medium at 720p with around 23fps.
