DISCLAIMER: The following has still not been proven one way or the other. All information is still just two guys talking. Nothing is proven until evidence is given.

As far as I am aware:
- The interviewer is allegedly either InternetAristocrat or another youtuber. The interviewee claims he is a former mod. Possibly XavierMendel of /r/Games.

- /r/Games Autobans and removes the following: bias, Sarkeesian, priviledge, /r/games, Xbox One, youtube comments, peasant, plebian, bribe, bribes, bribed, paid off, clickbait, downvote, upvote, anita, fedora, entitled, google, shill, shilling, microsoft, microshit, microshaft, xbone, /r/hailcorporate, check your privelege, console peasnats, pc masterrace, brainwashed, a bunch of normal curse words and offensive terms.

- Image showing how Automod works. https://twitter.com/TheIvyClover/status/508690070367633408/photo/1
EDIT: Account has been suspended. If anyone has the screencap of the automod, please post it!

- Former Mod claims he has "big information" that he could use if Reddit comes after him again.

Particular quotes:
- "Don't trust reddit at all. There's a subreddit called ZQconspiracies and the people behind that have played completely into their hands. If you give people a space to talk about whatever they want on reddit. You remove everything else everywhere else on the site. You give them their own community to talk about it. They can go and say 'see we're not censoring you' but those people are only going to talk about it in that one little place. Which makes it very easy to censor and they now have all the account names of the people who go there. They can then shadowban and if they ask why they just say you were brigading from 4chan."

- "If people knew how many people we'd banned from /r/games for no reason and just said 'they were brigading or vote manipulation' people would go crazy"

- "If we need a reason to ban someone we just say vote manipulation because they can't prove it. And if they ever do ask for proof we just say sorry we can't it contains personal information"

- At 9:30 they discuss the fact admins can see all PMs and messages to moderators. The former admin developed a script/plugin for Chrome/Firefox. He was told not to release it or: 10:30 - "I was told if I released this I would be marked as someone who was helping in the distribution of child pornography on Reddit."

Summery from Internet Aristocrat's Twitter: https://i.imgur.com/RYxUHjR.jpg

And look what happened to the link when it was posted on /r/games: http://i.gyazo.com/ce3fd50a02831584bdb9132ff5f7367d.png

So, yeah. This is a thing now.

Some serious allegations here. Reddit admins are often accused of actions like these, but I've never seen an actual mod step forward and claim they really are true.

If you want to get rid off gender wars bullshit from your forum unfortunately that's the way to do it. At least they don't pander to only one side and ban opinion like other sites do. But Xbox One? That sounds absurd...

I signed in through Facebook just to add my two cents.

Why is PCMR banned from /r/games? even the keywords used to describe console users.
fuck man, is the truth really that hard to handle?

I'm done with reddit. although none of this has been confirmed, I wouldn't put it beneath them. Automoderator is doing a pretty good job of showing us the administration's agenda.

Thanks for the taking the time to talk to the mod/admin and writing this.

It certainly wasn't me who spoke to the mod. I just reposted and summarized. But thanks anyway.

ADDENDUM: The interviewee was not Internet Aristocrat.

Didn't think I'd see my name pop up on The Escapist forums of all places. Might as well make an account. I am XavierMendel from reddit.

The interviewer wasn't InternetAristocrat. As for why PCMR is banned from /r/Games: They just don't like the subreddit or its users. Ever since getting banned I've actually been using PCMR more and more. It's become a good community for PC discussion.

Note: That IvyClover Twitter account was suspended, the link is now dead.

Also, that list of Autoban words seems suspect; no way they cut out "/r/games", "Google", "Microsoft", "upvote", or "downvote"; two minutes on reddit shows me plenty of those terms. I'm not a fan of Reddit, and I don't doubt that they moderate their community with heavy hands, but this is a conspiracy too big to swallow without evidence.

This isn't the first time this has come up. For two weeks (probably still going today, not like I check anymore) there here hundreds of these threads on 4chin's /v/ and /b/ boards that would get wiped off before they were ten minutes old. I've seen those screencapped images of the /r/Games moderator and the interviewer a few times over, before GamerGate was coined... there was that conversation.

I'd find it and repost the conversation, but I'm not. I can't find it on Google due to the tons of faulty results I'm getting, I can't find it on leddit (no real surprise), 8chan for once doesn't seem to have an active thread in the first few pages, and I really don't want to go back to 4chan to see if that thread train is still going and having to quickly mirror the results.

My point is, if you can find that screencapped conversation, it can save you the bother of sitting through OP's SoundCloud link for forty-five minutes. The conversation is in itself a little lengthy and not that easy to follow, but it's saying almost the same information.

EDIT: It's probably plastered all over one of The Escapist's GamerGate-Burger and Fries threads, but no thank you to crawling through about seven hundred combined pages.

4chan /v/ has banned all Gamergate talk. Dunno if it's still going. 8Chan is the place if you want info on it. Unfortunately they are getting DDOSed as of writing this.

Yeah, I knew GamerGate is a really easy, efficient way to get temp or permabanned on all boards now, but when I last looked a lot of people were spamming GamerGate threads anyway to get the word out then immediately getting banned.

they are still getting DDoSed. If you look at their Unique IP counter, they are numbering thousands and only posts made under an hour is 1-4.

/r/ gaming has admins who banned PC gaming from the sub. Their reasoning that PCs can't play games and are for taxes only.

People started asking questions and started a crusade to flood /r/ gaming with PC games and PC rigs to show PC gaming is just as valid as console gaming.

Admins banned the subreddits dedicated to PC gaming in retaliation. /r/ games also bans PC gaming. This kicked up more anger.

Eventually the admins backed down and let PC gaming be posted, but it was too late: PC gamers hate /r/ gaming with a burning passion. PC gaming is still banned on /r/ games.
On top of this PCMR Reddit is one of the strong one. We have plent of gliding and we take no BS. Heck my Clan has mod in there so if BS is pull we can get that MOD to tell us what the heck is going on. Yeah don't mess with PCMR.
