Report: Disney is Eyeing Chris Pratt to be The Next Indiana Jones

Am actually OK with this. Now everyone's talking about Chris Pratt right now of course but I'd like to direct some attention to the movie itself. I feel that Disney should start by looking to the classic Adventure films of old and not just the original Indy movies. But where should we look to?

These movies.

The Mummy especially though as it has a lot more in common with Indy than Atlantis does of course.

I wouldn't mind seeing Pratt in that. Why rehash Indie...

Agreed. Indiana Jones did not need to come back for a strange sci-fi twist and does not need to be rebooted. For the time, technology in the film and the actors it has a cozy spot as a classic now.

I'd rather see this theme/genre of movie as something original. Something fresh that has no expectation bars placed. I'd rather see Chris do something new.
