Name: Mongrel.
Faction: None officially but she is a very good doctor and generally looks as threatening as a bush so she is more useful alive than dead and most people are just happy to have someone trying to stop them dying so she isn?t attacked much.
Appearance: Mongrel looks more than anything harmless. She is small and has little muscle. Her skin is olive brown as she is from Mediterranean decent. She is surprisingly clean and injury free, the first because she is deeply neurotic about cleanliness and the second is a combination of her reluctance to fight or take risk and her own medical skill.
Personality: Mongrel is in general peaceful and rather friendly, often dangerously so. As stated before she can be pretty neurotic about cleanliness and hygiene. She is pretty caring and hates to see people hurt or dying to the point she feel compelled to help everyone she can regardless of risk to herself. She also has mild case of pyromania and a weird condition where she has to taste a lot of her chemicals (she even has a slight immunity to a lot of them)
Equipment: Mongrel carries around mostly rations and medical supplies (of which she has a pretty large and complete collection) she also carries numerous surgical tools in remarkable condition. She has several changes of clothes which she regularly disinfects and bleaches so they end up surprisingly white.
She isn?t armed per say her tools are designed to cut people up and in the wrong hands they could be deadly. She also knows how to make various poisons, chemicals and explosives (she likes the flammable ones best)
Vehicle: Mongrel is use to relying on others for transport as she has spent the last 14 years going from faction to faction and being escorted. She did learn to ride horses when she was younger and hasn?t forgotten but she has yet to find one.
Quote: ?Every life saved is someone else that doesn?t want you to die.?
Nothing wrong with the character per say, except the lack of faction. If she have no faction and no weapons, the Red Eagles will come after her possessions if she's lucky and her body if she's not, the Green Eyes will persecute her for heresy and the Blue Eyes will see you as weak and not even let you trade with them.

Trust me, to be factionless is to suffer. As I've said before, I will make this true using my great GMing powers.

Name: Jacob Hark

Faction: Red Eagles

Appearance: Tall, muscular build, long black hair and cold grey eyes, everything about Jacob is intimidating. He wears a long black trench coat that drags across the floor, thus having marks at the bottom from dirt from it dragging on the floor as well as the odd cut and hole from battle. Underneath the coat he wears a white top, which has cuts from battle as well as blood stains from cuts. He wears black trousers with strange, somewhat satanic, markings on them and black shoes.

Personality: Jacob is a very angry and sad person, he doesn't see much in life and what he does is all bad. He has grown to hate the world and everything in it, including himself. Jacob only finds release by removing people from the land of the living, which he believes to be an act of mercy, but is unable to kill himself. The reason he joined the Red Eagles was because that way he would be able to kill more people and stop them from having a slow and painful death under the other Red Eagles. He looks forward to the day he dies.

Equipment: Two extremely sharp butcher's knives that shine brightly in the light. Two large pistols with adjustable scopes and adaptable barrels so they can fire any type of normal bullet from 17. to 79. caliber. A grappling hook firing crossbow, which can hold his weight.

Vehicle: A black motorbike with red blood stain decorations from his dead victims and caterpillar tracks instead of conventional wheels. When on it he just uses the weapons he uses normally on foot.

Quote: "Someone save me from this eternal nightmare, I'm an animal that needs to be put down!"
Better. Accepted =D

Name: Hallas

Faction: Red eagles

Appearance: Hallas is tall and bold in stature, his chest always stuck out a little to much, he has dirty blond hair which is combed across his head. He has a chiselled jaw, with a dimpled chin to boot, he is muscular with a little fat here and there. He usually doesn't wash for weeks at a time which does little for him. As for clothes, he is usually seen in a heavy black leather biker jacket, very worn jeans and large black army boots that look a good decade old.

Personality: He is far from clumsy but he has a bad habit of rushing into situations without taking so much as a second thought. He tries to be charming but tends to come off as arrogant and strong-headed. Under his smiles he has a much darker side, doing whatever awful deeds it takes to survive.

Equipment: Hallas carries on his back a rifle which fires .270 softpoint rounds although he can load other types if needed. For the more close up encounters he uses an odd contraption, it is a 12 bore (gauge for you americans) shotguns which has a drum barrel loading system which carries 8 cartridges (shells), he is still searching for the parts to make it semiautomatic but for now the drum barrel is turned with a crank on the side of the gun. He also has a large survival knife which he keeps strapped to his belt.

Vehicle: Hallas acquired his vehicle in a raid back when he fought with some of the red eagle sects, it is a strange motorbike, it is steam powered and has a blue eye-tech water compressor on the side which allows for longer journeys. It is rather slow to accelerate but can reach a high top speed.

Good sheet, but what do you mean by former Eagle? I've had to warn several people away from the short and painful experience that is life in a post apocalyptic wasteland with no friends...

He was in the read eagles, but left a long time ago to deal with business, he is still technically a member, but travels too much to be called and active member, he is still friendly with them though and occasionally drops in, no worries, I saw the comments you made on other factionless people. Anything you want me to change?

Name: June Holiday

Faction: Red Eagles

Apperence: 5"11 with short blue hair and blue eyes. Has some muscle since she's a mechanic. She has a pair of goggles on over her forehead and a black bandana to cover up most of her hair. She wears a grey longsleeved shirt with a t-shirt and vest over it. She wears dark blue jeans and has black leather boots. She also sports a pair of black gaunlets that help her with her strength.

Personality: She loves machinery and has quite a passion for her machines that she builds. Shes isn't organized with her blueprints for said machines. Generally quiet when around people, but not all the time if she has something to talk about. She's focused in her work as a mechanic and will be down in her work area for hours on end. She's a nice girl if you get to know her really well, and if you help her with finding nice machinery parts, she'll practically stand up for you in any situation.

Equipment: She carries with herself a portable tool box for whenever she needs to make repairs. Her weapon of choice is a .357 magnum that has a angel on the handle of it, usual .357 ammo for it as well, about 18 bullets worth. Her melee weapon of choice is her comicly large wrench that she has holstered on the back of her waist.

Vehicle: She wants to build herself a nice motorcyle, but however never found the parts needed for it. So for now has built herself a nice pair of roller skates that she's quite agile in.

Quote: "Touch anything that I haven't wanted to touch, and you might not see a wrench across the face."

Alright I'm gonna throw in my hat, and I'm also gonna role my first female character.

Name: Jenny Chao

Faction: Green Jewels, guard/escort, Jenny's job is to protect and transport Green Jewel's VIP's such as Inquisitors, Priest, and Missionaries, who have duties outside of Green Jewel's territory.

Appearance: Jenny had black hair, dark brown eyes, she has a fair complexion and a scar that runs from from under her right eye to under her right temple. She doesn't bother dressing for for style, preferring to keep things as utilitarian as possible. She wears her hair in a pony-tail when she hasn't cut it short, in order to keep it out of her face. She wears a green canvas jacket with leather elbow pads for extra protection. On the left shoulder of her jacket she has a patch signifying her rank as inside of the Green Jewels military. The jacket has lined with pockets both on the inside and outside that make it look significantly bulkier when they're full, inside of the pockets Jenny keeps thinks like ammo, tape, and other odds and ends she deems useful. Jenny wears jeans that have the knees similarly reinforced with leather. Finally Jenny wears a pair of black steel-toed boots.

Personality: Jenny isn't someone to put a lot of emphasis on philosophy and emotions. She's down to earth and cares more about peoples actions as a way of judging them. Jenny isn't exactly a true believer in the Green Eyed King, she does however believe that the Green Jewel's are the City's best chance for stability and the betterment of all. That said she has no problems with either the Red Eagles or the Blue Eyes from an ideological perspective. She has little problem with Red Eagles as individuals but is wary of them in groups due to their lawless nature.

Jenny began her soldier training at 13. She's a crack shot and extremely skilled driver who prides herself on knowledge of the City's back-streets and short-cuts. She has a modest amount of mechanical skill as anyone who relies on a vehicle as much as she does should, she's able to make repairs to her own car, but relies on more skilled mechanics to help her make serious repairs and upgrades to it.

Equipment:
-A .40 mm lever action air rifle that has a 10 round magazine. Compressed air is stored in a stock which needs to be re-pressurized after 20 shots. The rifle's primary weakness is that re-pressurizing the stock takes half an hour, so once it's empty it can't be refilled during a fight.
-A 1.5 foot long crowbar for hand to hand combat.
-A bowie knife.
-Map of the City.
-A small book labeled "Gospel of the Green Eyed King,"

Vehicle:
Jenny built her ride from scratch, it started as a go-kart she used to ride around in as a kid and she's been upgrading and modifying it for years. After all the modifications nothing of the original remains but it's spirit. It's now a two seater, steam powered car, with an exterior modeled on some picture Jenny found of a 1970 Gran Tarino. As an escort her vehicle is outfitted with weapons and is armored. The main armament is a steam-powered mini-gun mounted on the driver side door, it is also fitted with a wheel spikes, and a rear deploying oil slick.

A crowbar?
A Metro 2033 style air rifle?
A car which resembles a Gran Torino!?

You sir, win an internets.
Though 40mm seems a bit...excessive.

Hehe, I'd be lying if I didn't say the Crowbar and the Gran Tarino were choices I made randomly, but they both fit with the setting. The crowbar because it's the kind of weapon someone would pick up in the post apocalypse, as in it's fairly common and easy to use. The Gran Tarino just kinda fits with the Mad Max/Refitted muscle cars thing I was imagining. Of course I could have chosen any other tool, and any other muscle car, but... Why would I want to?

Also I've never played Metro 2033, I got the idea for the gun from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pqFyKh-rUI&feature=related. And that guns made using a .46 caliber, back in the 18th century.

If I could ask a question, would it be acceptable if I could trade the vehicle for an alternative resource for my character?

This is awsome, I've been wanting this one to start back up, i've edited my old sheet for this occasion.

Here is my sheet

Name: Sid "Red" Rostenfer

Side: Blue Eyes

Vehicle: A dune buggy with a minigun mounted on the hood

Appearance: He is 6'4, has a muscular build, he has pale skin and blonde hair. He was born with heterochromia and had a red eye and a blue eye. His blue eye was fully blind, but his red one was only partially blind until he had a corrective surgery to fix it. Where his blue eye was is now a prosthetic eye that faintly glows a menacing red.

Backpack: His gun is an XM29 OICW )See picture below); he has a trench knife, a med kit, a flashlight, spare ammo and a lighter inside his kit. He also keeps his rations, a spare XM29 OICW, and other bulkier supplies in his dune buggy as well as several small explosives.

[http://media.photobucket.com/image/xm29 oicw/nrex725/Weapons/oicw-xm29-01.jpg?o=5]

History: Sid was one of the "Lucky ones" they would say sarcastically. He was born with no major physical deformity, not even missing or having extra toes. It was only later in life when he could talk was it discovered that he was practically blind. He learned how to read with brail until he was 16. He elected to have corrective surgery to his functional eye and have a risky procedure done to replace his dead eye. It went well and he was able fully see for the first time in his life.

In the military service, he is a long range scout. Surveying the land and living alone for a long period of time. His has a certain degree of contempt for the Red's, who he sees as bandits and thugs, but respects their ingenuity, especially with their steam powers vehicles. He also respects the Greens and their conviction to their deity. While he still has a certain fondness for the tower base and the Blues, his constant observance of the Reds and Greens has left a foul taste in his mouth when it comes to his groups idea of genetic superiority. Sid believes that the Blues are ultimately doomed because of their inbreeding, and has made his view readily clear at home base. This has made him relatively unpopular and as a result, command sends him on longer patrols. Despite feuds and misgivings, Sid will still fight to protect his home.

Name: Bartelby Narrow

Faction: Factionless

Appearance: A man of average height (5'10 to put a number) and thin build. He does not appear physically strong because, honestly, he's fairly weak. bartelby's physique would perhaps be better suited to diving through narrow windows or hiding under desks than, for example, lifting furniture. That being said, his shoulder length black hair is ussually clean, he makes a valiant effort to keep a smooth face in a world where razors are ussually reserved for other purposes and his clothes are significantly more sophisticated than the average joe's functional attire. With his dark green eyes and smooth features he might even be attractive if it weren't for the nearly permanent expressions of terror, shock and unease which are his standard states of being.

Personality: Bartelby is a well trained and very experienced coward. He's a man of the people in that the more people who are following him the easier it is to hide behind them. He believes in and respects the ideas of honor and chivalry but fully recognizes that they're for people who are morally superior. A dirty trick or two isn't below him; if it got him out of danger canabalism wouldn't be below him. He's not afriad to grovel. Though he will certainly be afraid while groveling, and after groveling, and upon meeting anyone who might potentialy be placated by a good bout of groveling. Its not that he's spineless, at his core hes a rebel humanist with deep concerns for the current condition of humanity and the plight of the working man, its just that when everyone is trying to kill you all the time, it makes a person nervous.

Bartelby maintains lofty ambitions of overthrowing the Blue Eyes and establishing a truely representative government to defend the average man and ensure the rule of law. Unfortunately his allies are few and far between. He will obstruct Blue Eye business every opportunity he has that won't immediately result in his, squishy, death. He won't align himself with the Red Eagles because in his experience they don't care anymore for the life liberty or prosperity of the underprivledged than the Blue Eyes living in their ivory towers. And he won't align himself with the Green Jewels because they're a fanatical cult with no interest in establishing a fair and unbiased government. This means the only people Bartelby can rely on as allies are the bullied and bruised working men of the city. Understandably, these people are low on guns and ussually lose their enthusiasm for civic revolution after their first bullet wound. Consequently, Bartelby spends a lot of his time running. He's gotten fairly good at it.

Equipment: Bartelby doesn't carry guns, largely because they would just be extra weight to carry during his mad dashes away from danger. Bartelby prefers equipment he can toss behind him to disuade pursuers and things he can make traps out of. Bartelby will avoid a direct fight if it is, in any even vaugely imaginable way, possible. With this is mind ...

Bartelby carries with him: four grenades, a length of thin rope, a knife to cut the rope with, duct tape, and a lighter.

Vehicle: Bartelby has a three seater motorcycle. It is abnormally elongated in order to fit three people comfortably in a line. It is very good technology and runs unexpectedly quickly. It was probably Blue Eye once. Bartelby doesn't know for sure, he just stumbled on it one day during an escape. Since then it's become his only constant companion and definitely his most prized possession.

Quote: You know... I never thought about. I mean, there have definitely been times when I ran toward people; but that was because they were away from other people. I never thought of them as allies so much as ... People who weren't shooting at me yet?

You seem to have misunderstood what a faction is. It's not like a company that keeps you on a pay roll and fires you if you don't do missions, it's a tribe of like minded people who have allied for mutual defense and/or profit. You don't just 'leave' the Eagles, unless you did something to make them hate you.

I see. I think I?ll try and go faction less just to see is Mongrel can take it. It makes sense for her character not to want to take sides not that she won?t pretend to agree whoever is around at the time.
So these people are really stupid enough to attack someone that clearly wants to help them?
Also what is the state of medicine and hospitals in the world?
Ok, it's your funeral.

As for medicine, it's like all tech; the Blue Eyes have the best and are able to surpase modern surgical techniques, the Green Jewels have moderate kit that is roughly equal to what we have now, if a little bit jury-rigged, and the Red Eagles have whatever they can scavange or steal form the others.
There are no specific hospitals, save the rooms in the Blue Towers and Grand Temple where the doctors do their work. Any neutral hospital would be raided within minutes...

This is one character I don't mind having as factonless, since he's an utter coward and it's believable that he wouldn't commit to any side...

Accepted!

He also keeps his rations, a spare XM29 OICW, and other bulkier supplies in his dune buggy.

Quote: I see you
Welcome back! Accepted =)

If I could ask a question, would it be acceptable if I could trade the vehicle for an alternative resource for my character?
As always, write the sheet first. If I believe you can make it work, I'll let you do whatever you want.

Alright I'm gonna throw in my hat, and I'm also gonna role my first female character.

Name: Jenny Chao

Faction: Green Jewels, guard and escort.

-A 1.5 foot long crowbar for hand to hand.

As an escort her vehicle is outfitted with weapons. The main armament is a steam-powered machine gun mounted on the driver side door.

Quote: " Peace will be brought to the City, somehow."
Good sheet, but beware the Inquisition. The Jade Orbs really hate heretics....

Nice. Accepted!

He was in the read eagles, but left a long time ago to deal with business, he is still technically a member, but travels too much to be called and active member, he is still friendly with them though and occasionally drops in, no worries, I saw the comments you made on other factionless people. Anything you want me to change?
You seem to have misunderstood what a faction is. It's not like a company that keeps you on a pay roll and fires you if you don't do missions, it's a tribe of like minded people who have allied for mutual defense and/or profit. You don't just 'leave' the Eagles, unless you did something to make them hate you.
Ok, I was more thinking that he had left wherever they stay and hadn't been seen by them for a long time, still a part of the faction but not a dweller in their territories, but if it's a bit too complicated I'll get rid of it. It's hard to work without an extensive red eagle description.
