"I get taught by the best" Sal replied, "But for a little dude like yourself, you're hardly a pushover. A little practice in your groundwork and you'll be giving me a run for my money"

He stretched then, groaning as painful muscles signaled their want to be someplace other than the training grounds. "Aw, man..." He grunted, "I've had it with training for today. Wanna go get something to drink, Skye?"

--

The insect stagers from Rez's fire and reels away, instead stabbing it's claws through the bookshelf once, twice, thrice and more. The chubby one underneath dies horribly from multiple stab wounds

Before Rez can do anything to save his ally, the shadows move and suddenly there are limbs everywhere. One bats aside his gun, a second wraps his feet and a third grasps him bodily. A second later he his thrown through the air, to collide wit the far wall. The gun is gone form his hands, and the arm-thing is nowhere to be seen.

---

The bear thing only roars in pain and anger, and continues to crush harder. Carl begin to think he'll need rescuing by someone... [HINT]

"I'm not-" she stopped herself. "...little." she stood up and dusted her uniform off. "But sure, I'll come with..." she watched him stretch a bit, quickly turning away when he noticed. "Right. Shall we go?"

Hallas swore and shook his arm wildly, he took out his knife and cut off his sleeve, a large amount of the bile fell to the floor with it but it was enough, a lot of his had burned through and his skin was raw.

"Fuck! Damn bug," He yelled at the thing, his bad arm clutched to his side he twirled the knife in his hand then threw it at the bug with deadly accuracy.

The rest of Mr. Salt's memories of the rescue were blurry and disorienting; the medic had drugged him in order to treat him. On the plus side, that meant his wounds would be healing and back on his feet; on the other side of the coin it made thinking a ***** to do. He willed himself to keep awake - whether by counting the number of bullets left in his gun, guessing what weapons they still had on them... Ultimately these distractions did nothing, and soon he faded unconscious.

****

When he finally came to, his eyes burned a tinge at the amount of light that was in the room; he rubbed them fiercely until the painful rays no longer felt as such. The white light eventually dimmed down and the man finally registered the sterile hospital room, with footsteps in the background. Checking his condition, Salt started moving his fingers and toes for any sign of pain... Nothing; the medic must have done his job.

He removed the covers and shifted out of the bed. Looking down to his person, he saw that all the gear he had with him was confiscated; replaced with a scratchy papery gown with no back. The whole room felt cold to the touch, and the scant clothes the staff provided was not helping, yet he had to move. As he left the room, he logged in his head to find more suitable apparrel. Wait! Where's my glasses!?

The hall was packed with those gigantic humanoids, each one resembling a bestial parody of the civilization they toted. Yet they did nothing to him; nobody attacked him or made any attempt to kill him. Of course they would ask him why he was obscuring his eyes and face, to which he'd respond, "Too bright." It was a half-assed answer and they knew it, but the mutants couldn't care less.

For now, his only plan was to pick where a useful cache would be, and watch the staff for their shifts. It would take a long time, but again Mr. Salt was a very patient man. If only I had something for my face.

the creature was young. That was the scary part.
Despite it's youth, it had decimated most of the outpost. Johny Needleteeth, it was called; The by-product of radiation, a gene-twisting pre-war virus gone unchecked and green-god knows how many generations of inbreeding from an isolated tribe to the north. Johny Needleteeth, born a monster, without any human tendencies and teeth as sharp as knives.

The Bandersnatch pulled up inside the base to see the screaming monstrosity tear through another Green, bullets bouncing off its rubery hide, the bulging eyes searching for the next meal, and finally looking over towards the black bentley. it smiled, showing teeth as long as a man's arm and sharper than a green's eyes.

Rez got to his feet slowly, making as little moment as possible to avoid being seen. He drew the combat knife out of the sheath on his ankle and began slowly walking toward the door again. He would have preferred to use his electronic saw but that would make too much noise and get him noticed. He heard someone yell out so he went prone and army-crawls his way into the lobby again where he sees the bear monster crushing the life out of someone. He gets up into a crouching position and grabs a sharp piece of re-bar that has the end cut off, making it into a good substitute for a spear. Rez picked it up and inched his way towards the monster's back then he struck. Rez brought down the weapon with as much force as he possibly could into an already bleeding wound on the monster's back.

As I mentioned on the character sheet, Rez is actually very strong because he dose so much heavy lifting as a mechanic, so this should do a reasonable amount of damage

In the sterile confine of what was supposed to be a break room, a lone Blue Eye nurse sighed in a mix of discomfort and relief; she had to deal with an officer from the military who was here for a recent patient, and he was on the warpath. At first it seemed simple enough - find the guy he was looking for, and point out which door to look for - but after a couple minutes later, he came back with a hardened scowl. the rest of her time was pissed away as she had to escort the dignitary to the room. Perhaps she thought, he got lost But as they arrived to the destination, she found to her surprise the area was empty, save for a disheveled bed. The patient was up, and about the hospital.

At that point, it was a matter of going through the halls for anyone who looked familiar; a waste of time as she thought of it. Twenty minutes in the military figure's disposition soured; he was shouting at everyone, and treating her and the staff like three-year olds. Soon, he was walking on his own opening every every door for his patient and almost interrogating everyone he saw. It took the head nurse and a couple of doctors to calm him down. Eventually he left, but not before saying that they'd better find his guy.

She took another drink of water from the cooler, partially to quench her thirst, but also to splash some drops in her face to soothe her nerves; her day wasn't over yet. On that realization, she tossed the foam cup away and left.

After so many times getting lost in the winding halls, navigating her way to the supply room was a cake walk. At her destination, she saw a different face than what she was used to. She would get his attention.

"Hey. Your shift's done." From her declaration, the intern's head shot up and green eyes darted her way.

"What?"

"It's. Over." Her voice was critical and agitated; she just wanted the day to end. Maybe he'll leave.

"No it's not." Or maybe something else will go wrong. She shot him a dubious look.

"What do you mean?"

"The head nurse changed the schedules. Didn't Cam tell you?"

"Who?"

"You know... the guy from the last shift."

Her eyes widened in realization, and her face faded in a slight tinge of pink.

"Oh, him... I'm not good at names."

The intern seemed indifferent about her admittance, which made her feel all the more embarrased. With a turn of her heels, she left for the break room for her new schedule.

Wilkes breathed a sigh of relief as the Blue nurse left; it bought him some time. Checking for any others, his eyes darted to both sides of the hall... nobody was there. That was enough time to go back inside.

While there were many things in the room that any medic would kill for, Mr. Salt couldn't use any of it; they were mostly mundane equipment and medicines with longwinded names... Well not exactly true; it did help to render the nurse inside the closet unconscious. But all in all, it was too much to carry and he wouldn't have enough time to escape.

But he was going to keep the first aid equipment. The only task was smuggling it out without anyone getting suspicious...

The car crashed intot he bizzare creature and knocked it back. It somersaulted and landed on top of a Green, promptly tearing his eyes out. Bullets flew everywhere and yet still the creature continued to slaughter the outpost. Angus stepped from the car and shot it between the eyes, causing it to stumble for a moment before he turned to Trevor and said "Is it just me, or does it seem like we've not moved in over a month?" Trevor muttered something about the 4th wall and loaded another clip.
