Ok Escapists, I need help. I want to rip DVD to my iPod but for the life of me can't figure out now and Google has failed me for the first time. So, is there anyone who knows how to do this? I'd really appreciate the help. The DVD is Foo Fighters at Hyde Park if that helps anyone.
Thank you very much.

First you need to get a program that allows you to rip dvds to your computer ( I use DVDFab, the free version is pretty good).

Then use a program to convert the resultin VIDEO_TS folder to an Ipod compatible format. For this part I use Handbrake (also good free version), as you can select things like quality.

Then add it to your Itunes library, you'll have to add any tags you want but that should take care of it.

Thankyou, you are a hero among us mere mortals.

Don't you ever change.

Thanks, need a cookie right now, dreaded driving lesson approaching.
There are a number of other programs out there that I haven't tested so it might be worthwhile researching. Try searching DVD rip and Ipod conversion

I did, none worked for me. Maybe it has something to do with running Vista.

Download Handbrake, (It's for PC and Mac), insert the disc into your computer, select "open source" , Pick the DVD, press Okay, Choose your designated format, (For you it would be Apple Universal,) and presto. Sometimes, if you are trying to put it on an iPod classic, this wont work. All you have to do is Convert the ripped file to the same format that it is. Don't ask me why this happens, I have no idea.
Just so all you peoples know, I condone ripping DVDs, except when it is done by me. I do not approve of this, unless you own the dvd itself. If you don't, at least buy it of iTunes or something, and give the creators some credit. Or be like most people and download it of the pirate bay.
