Rocko was always a show that just reveled in social commentary really subversive humour and getting jokes passed the censors hard. I personally take that the special was just right did not over stay its welcome and slipped back into modern times just nice.

Anyone else who has seen it what are your thoughts.

Oh, that's coming today? Yeah, I'll watch it. I like the old Rocko's Modern Life, though I didn't really get it when I was a kid. Now I appreciate it. That show got pretty cynical sometimes. Went completely over my head back then.

The first thing I see is Really Really Big Man shoving his Nipples on my monitor acting like a clock.

They did not shy away from how fucked up the show can be.

The show was really cynical before I knew what that word meant. I was surprised how the special had a pretty optimistic outlook but still kept its spirit.

That was the best part. Its still Y7 just because I feel they want to see what they can do to push the boundary.

Jeez I have forgotten some of the characters here like Mr. Dupette and Heffer's Grandpa.

And they got dark, the Grandpa died and became a Ghost that likes to possess Lawn Gnomes lol.

It was a better watch than Cans Without Labels, that's for sure.
Cans Without Labels?
That cartoon short John Krisa... Krisca... Ren and Stimpy guy started a Kickstarter for in 2012 and then released earlier this year, after which almost everyone agreed it was... underwhelming, to say the least, for something that took seven years to make.

Overall, pretty solid special. Lot of the jokes about modern shit have been done before, but it was nice to see Rocko's swing on those, as well as the entire meta commentary regarding the show-within-a-show reboot and Rocko's Modern Life itself. The fucking news tickers man.

This is giving me Wachowski vibes....
I am so fucking pissed that Netflix and company just spoiled the living shit out of that to everyone, all for publicity and brownie points. It's a great surprise and actually fits in with the central theme of the special, of which the subtitle of Static Cling makes complete sense after you've seen it. They just started throwing it out there though like it was the central plot instead of a component of it.

Bleh. Never really liked the show when I was a kid. Honestly it just kinda creeped me out. I doubt it will now, but I lack the emotional connection a lot of you guys have, so I'm not interested mainly because it's not designed with me in mind.

It wasn't my favorite Nick show but to me its miles better then Ren and Stimpy and Cow and Chicken,

No lie, the entire special is meta as hell regarding the clamoring of fans to revive old shows, and calls upon a lot of stuff with the history of the show itself. You could easily see it for what it presents as a non-fan if you're ever getting an itch, but it's really meant for fans that are probably the same fans that wanted the reboot in the first place. I can just imagine how lost some people would be(or just the humor not clicking with them at some bits), if they don't know about old bits of the show, or aren't generally into animation as a particular interest.

Still pretty good.

When did Netflix spoil it? Cause I did not find out it was a thing this morning over in my neck of the woods cause I thought it just went silent for a while. So I am pretty sure for many people it was a surprise.

I believe the info was out there possibly a week before(if all those edits to the Rocko Wiki are any indication), but it seemed like yesterday and the day before that, everyone and their mother was reporting on it. First results if you actually Googled the special, so no doubt a fair chunk of people had to eat the spoiler, me included.
