Sex?

I'd recommend just playing a different genre so both of you can meet in the middle. Maybe try a 3/4 dungeon crawler like Titan Quest? It's cheap these days and you can play cooperatively. Has some action, but not so much that you need crazy reflexes, and there's levels and loot(but no story unfortunately).

Dynasty Warriors. It's got 2 player co-op. You can pick from several fighters and level up thier weapons and powers or in some games create your own. Who doesn't want to single-handily beat the crap out of an entire Three Kingdoms era Chinese army? Or Dynasty Warriors Gundam. Which is basically the same thing only with giants robots instead.

Theres also Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Borderlands

This is probably the closest you'll get.
At least until the APB MMO comes out.

There aren't many multi-player games that can fall into both the RPG and FPS genres.
Hellgate London could have worked if they hadn't messed that up.

So try Borderlands and see if you both like it.
APB is a good idea funny but i'm actually in the beta

I like your boyfriend's choice of gaming genre...

But I agree with most of the posters: Borderlands, Team Fortress 2, Oblivion and Fallout 3.

All are FPS's, mind you, but (with the exception of Team Fortress 2) all have RPG elements to them.

Can't believe no ones made a single Rocket Propelled Grenade joke yet...

Like everyone else has said, try Borderlands if you want to both be playing at the same time. If you don't mind taking turns, try Fallout 3.

You might enjoy Team Fortress 2, that has some RPG elements.
TF2 is a fantastic game, but how wtf are you talking about, RPG elements?
Well you can customize, sorta. Yeah good point there really isn't much. But its still a good game.

get him to try some table top rpgs. I was mostly a fps player, then a friend invited me to a DND campaign. It's good fun and I'm really into it. Anyway, fallout 3. you can't play together, but I have many conversations and fun watching someone play it.

Play Mass Effect together and trade controllers.
They would have a very bipolar Shepard.
Also why the hell did somebody post someone else's question on its own thread.
