I think this is a great move. Valve and Bethesda are the greatest company ever. Together they could rule the world.
This.
It does seem highly unlikely. And didn't Valve already sell their souls to EA?

I hope they do buy Valve. Can you imagine Valve and Bethesda working together? Can you imagine all the freaking awesome FPS/RPGs that would come out of that?

Whats with all the negative comments? This merger would be nothing but good things for gamers...Bethesda/Zeni Max would be dumping tons of cash onto Valve, and being one of the most hands-off publishers out there, they wouldn't interfere with Valves development process.

Although i doubt this merger would happen, if it did it could be the start of an awesome, awesome dev/publisher team.

I was under the impression that VALVe had enough disposable income to purchase the moon at this point.
My thoughts as well. Valve is easily one of the biggest companies out there, possibly even bigger than Bethesda. Maybe not Zenimax, though. Kind of worrying.

I would'nt like that much at all, however as long as it wouldn't compromise Valve's games and only Bethesda, I'm fine. Otherwise, stick it to them Gabe!

To be be honost I hate rumors like when valve was going to be bought out by ea or ea being bought by microsoft, and when rumor was spread ea stock went up 5 percent. The only time people merge compainies is commenly due to financial problems, financial problems that valve does not have.
Activision-Blizzard.

best....picture...ever.

ive always figured valve to be financially strong enough to remain independent, and i contribute to this by using my entire paycheck on steam each month.

and i really doubt this, valve being bought is like ea being bought.

Great, now Valve can cater to the fucking idiots who buy every Release of Madden. Soon we will be looking at Half-Life 18: Episode 37 and it will suck balls.
Yeah. This is my fear as well.

I also am worried they could force Valve to make all their games PC only and only buyable by Steam.

Call me crazy now, but someone has to plan for this.

Dear God, please let this be a hoax. This is th last thing I want to happen, a huge publisher buying out one of the last amazing independent studios.
