Really? Then you're missing out on a lot!

On topic, who would name a Vietnam game Black Ops?

Sounds pretty cool, I've been forced to buy Call of Duty games since every single one of my friends buy them, an the only one I really enjoyed was 2. This sounds pretty cool for a change.

It is the 7th CoD game. And there isn't an official title to call it yet.

Would you prefer Call of Duty: Probably In Vietnam But Maybe the Cold War In General?

Hahaha XD

Treyarch? *Yawn*

I hope that Infinity Ward remake CoD2 one day, but only to improve the graphics. That's the only decent CoD game out there. Modern wars are just kind of dull, so the games pretty much follow suit. Eventually space marines will work their way into the franchise too.
I'm with this guy

It isn't a Vietnam game, as is discussed in the article.

sorry but after the rubish that IW pushed out, i couldnt give a flying hoot about a new call of duty game... the game is dead to me now
Actually, for the first time, I'm rooting for Treyarch over IW here.

...As with Modern Warfare, several missions will let gamers play as British SAS agents, one of which "pitches you in close combat during a mission in the Iranian embassy in London during the 1980's" (almost certainly Operation Nimrod [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_embassy_siege]).
Hell to the fucking yes, that'd be AWESOME.

Oh, and why not? There have been six "Call Of Duty" games, and "Modern warfare" still had the Call Of Duty line in it. I'm looking at the case now, it's there.
Its doesn't work by how many games are out. Look at your case closer. Is there a 6 on it? What about Finest Hour? Roads to Victory? We'd be at 9 right now. But HEY thats not the case. Cause then if we did count it that way, Modern Warfare would be "Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare".
Well, Infinity Ward and Treyarch are the MAIN Call of Duty developers. That is to say, they make the main series (I cannot stress that enough). The other CoD games out there were spin-offs. I don't know if the Call of Duty wiki can count as an official source, but it can back me up on this. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Call_of_Duty_%28series%29

Finest Hour? Developed by Spark Unlimited as a spin-off for the consoles (because the original Call of Duty was PC-exclusive). Roads to Victory? Developed by Amaze Entertainment so that the PSP can get some CoD action.

But, which are the the most advertised Call of Duty games? CoD 4, World at War, Modern Warfare 2. The reason why World at War is basically Call of Duty 5 is because Treyarch was made the second developer of CoD games by Activision because it takes Infinity Ward two years to make a CoD game, and Activision wanted an annual Call of Duty game. Think about it, by your reasoning, Call of Duty 4 was the last game in the series. Yet, Modern Warfare 2 is a direct sequel to Call of Duty 4. Treyarch made Call of Duty 3 in 2006, so it took them 2 years to make World at War, just like it took Infinity Ward 2 years to make Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4, and Modern Warfare 2. Now, two years after World at War, we're getting another Call of Duty game from Treyarch. And next year, there's another main Call of Duty developer, Sledgehammer Games. See where I'm going with this?

Sounds more interesting than MW2 (most things do now) but I'd just feel bad about giving Activision my money.

Wow... I can't believe we will get to take part in the Iranian Embassy siege... This might be the first CoD I might enjoy.

As a fan of the series until MW2, for the obvious reasons, I am cautiously optimistic about this rumour.

stuff like the african campaign seem awesome, and the idea of dedicated servers returning is also awesome, but at the same time things like UNDERWATER ESCORT MISSION WITH A TIMER 1/2WAY THROUGH make me think this isn't entirely true.

that abomination is called IWnet, which implies that it is IW's devil-spawn, otherwise i would expect something like CoDnet.

Keep in mind, it's still rumors.

But if it's not, I'm still not entirely convinced. Treyarch is gonna have to pull some amazing shit to win back my dollars. In my opinion, Nazi Zombies was the only decent feature in WAW, other then that it was a very generic and boring shooter.

I'd love CoD: PiBbMtCWIG.

Rolls off the tongue!

OT: This game looks amazing. Treyarch is definitely the better dev. Loved WaW, loved 3.

It is however still the Seventh CoD game that has been made, christ man, calm the fuck down. But then again maybe you're too "retarded" to realise that people are using CoD 7 as a place holder till it actually has a name, hm?

Anyway OT, Sounds good to me if it's true. C'moon Iranian Embassy Seige!

I'd love dedicated servers to come back, it was the deciding factor for me whether or not to buy MW2.

I wonder if it'll be as boring as their last one. MW2 has its problems, but at least I never considered turning it off an hour in.

You know, just seeing the word Vietnam once, and I dismiss the rest.

I apologize for that error!
