Unless they have Kratos tearing through the Christian, Norse, or Egyptian mythos count me out. The GoW franchise ended with GoW 3 in my eyes. Not exactly the ending I wanted but I'll settle for it.

I know they talked about Kratos moving on to slaughter the Norse gods...but couldn't they just make a new franchise with that idea? Kratos' reason for being mad and all that was because the gods tricked him and what not, the Norse gods haven't done anything against him =/

But...Kratos already killed the Gods. Like, all of them. Will he be moving on to Norse mythology next? Roman? Or will Kratos killing Quetzalcoatl be what begins the Mayan apocalypse...that...

...

wow

2012 is real and the Mayans were ancient Video Game Nerds*.

That actually sounds like a much cooler idea than what they're probably going to do.

Even though they're stretching out the story as much as possible..I don't care.

Because I get to play another God of War game :)

Some of you need to get over yourselves with the pretentious "But the story wont make sense!" bullshit. God of War is about epic moments that make the player feel in awe of what they're seeing, and then doing horrible stuff to mythological beings during said moments. It is a video game, not fuckin' Tolstoy.

And Kratos butchering the Egyptian pathenon would be 7 shades of awesome, especially if it could bring that creepy underground desert ruin atmosphere like what D2's Act II had years ago.

I'm calling a fake on this rumor to be honest. 3's ending makes it almost impossible for another one to happen without either retconning or something similar. Unless he goes nuts on the norse or egyptian pantheon.

Hasn't he literally killed everything at the end of the final game? Including himself?

Sorry, EoG spoilers. But it does make me wonder about how exactly they'll do this.

You know, I always had this conspiracy theory about the Kraken from God of War II: it is a creature from Norse mythology and I always thought that Odin might have loaned it to Zeus to fight Kratos. Perhaps Sony Santa Monica could make a game out that. Or maybe he could butcher the Egyptians or something.

I don't care. I want another God of War game. There hasn't been one that hasn't been excellent.

This is what? The 7th? (GOW 1, GOW 2, the 2 on the PSP, GOW 3, the mobile phone one.) in the space of as many years (maybe less)

And people ***** and whine about Nintendo re-using their games.

Not only Kratos has killed every relevant god by now, but he has become such a caricature that the only role for him right now would be as the final boss, while we get to play a more adecuate protagonist.

Fuck the Greek Pantheon, the Norse Gods are up for the chop this time, it's going to be a battle royale between Kratos and Donald Blake. :B

Not to insult you, but your maths skills are embarrassing.
Edit: AAAAAHHHH sorry. :) My bad. Now I get it.

OT: So much hate for God of War, I wonder why people even cared to click this link. Your lives must be really lonely.

Maybe hes got unfinished business with his brother?

He might be ruling the underworld due to Hades being dead.

I really thought he was gonna be a boss battle in GOW3

.....yet.

I'm sure they will come up with something. A war perhaps.
