heh, made me smileHeart of Darkness said:...Also, I find it funny that a guy wanting to make a religious MMOG is named Maxim.
I was just going to write the "all religions, FIGHT" post when I saw this, and you're right, nobody would touch it. Shame really, I'd like to unleash Jew-Jitsu against the evil Psionics of Scientology.AngloDoom said:That would be an absolute minefield. A glorious, wonderful idea of a minefield, but a minefield nonetheless. No-one would touch the idea.IxionIndustries said:Hmmm... I was hoping it would have other religions in it too, instead of being an overly biased Christian game... And have all the different religions fighting eachother...
Still, I just hope they realise that people want to smash monsters around. People aren't going to pay monthly instalments for PC prayer-time
Yeah what's with all the Rightist agendas in video games, why can't I run left in Mario? Binary pass/fail and linear mechanics are certainly not confined to only religious games. I really don't see this as any different than any other game, the designers are just approaching it from a mindset that you don't agree with. You could make your argument against any game that had moral choices. Fable gives me Evil points for killing civilians, but once again that's just one game designers opinion on morality.edgeofblade said:That's the problem with "religious" games. They see the world ONE way and the only way to succeed in their game is to follow their ONE way. It's inherently flawed.
None of those games would work in a persistant multiplayer environment though, would they?Slycne said:I'm also a little disappoint to see a number of people jumping on that because it won't feature killing it will automatically be unfun. I'm sorry did all your brains become as close minded as some of the people who are presenting this, that you forgotten the scores of games that don't feature a bit of violence and are still fun?
