If the gameplay is good it could work. "Jihad Online" anyone? "Holy Lands Online" maybe? If it gives a fair historical depiction and balanced gameplay between opposing sides I would check it out. If you grind by putting on a necktie and knocking on doors then forget it.

I'm almost looking forward to seeing its equivalent of Barren's Chat. These guy's gotta be careful of what they wish for.
