MMPR and Zeo?
Nostaligic!
Turbo?
Apprently it was bad. I don't remember.
In Space?
Best. Yellow. Ranger. Ever!
Lost Galaxy?
Only remember the theme song.
Lightspeed Rescue?
Just great.
Time Force?
Great. Recently rewatched it. Again great.

The only other Power Rangers show I've watched was Ninja Storm. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't MMPR.

Not only did Power Rangers define my Elementary School years, but it also introduced me to the beat 'em up genre with a surprisingly fun SNES title. Though that was back when licensed games were actually pretty decent.

Probably won't watch it, considering the series died for me after SPD (basically space cops for kiddies), which was the only moderately dramatic one i saw without being corny.

It stopped being good after Lost Galaxy, but if they air only the seasons before that, count me in! Besides, from what I remember, aren't there roughly 8 years of seasons in that timeframe, so they have plenty of breathing room before the bad ones if they air them in linear succession.

Not gonna lie.. I'm 30 and I STILL watch Power rangers.. always been a big fan, mostly because I've always been a big martial arts enthusiast.

i don't think any cast really captured the variety like the original, with their different fighting styles and personalities: Jason, the stalwart, gruff leader, Billy the genius gymnast, and the break-dance fighting style of the Black Ranger although the following black ranger was a true practitioner of kung fu and now does straight to dvd action movies which aren't half bad. Jason David Frank the original green, then white, and eventually red ranger, after reappearing in a the DIno Rangers series as the ass-kicking mentor (and apparently the last surviving original ranger according to continuity, excluding that awesome episode "Forever Red" which reunited all of the past and current Red Rangers in the 500th episode) has gone on now to MMA fighting, which will be interesting to see...

The fact that they also tried to give the city itself life, which is interesting in that the residents of Angel Grove seemed incredibly resilient considering that every other day or so their city was being ravaged by giant telephone booth monsters knocking over buildings and what-not.

I think Power Rangers always had the potential, if taken more seriously, and with a much higher budget to be on something like Sci Fi channel.. an hour long show, filmed in the style of battlestar galactica.. how awesome would that be? Toss out the "fight puddies, fight random birdhouse monster, fight enlarged monster in mech" formula and concentrate on stories and special effects and you'd have something very entertaining, especially if you include smart writing and depth. I think it could be done... look at Iron man.

AT LAST, AFTER *mumble* YEARS, IT'S BACK! TIME TO CONQUER CHILDREN'S TELEVISION!

I should know the series. I watched up to the 12th series, Power Rangers SPD. WHEN I WAS 15. I watched it for waaaaaaaaay longer than I should have. In truth, it actually only went downhill starting in the 13th one...Mystic Force. UGH. Power Rangers DO NOT need capes. FUCKING CAPES!

I watched this show up until 4-5 years ago. Why? Fuck if I know. I'll be 20 in a month...

My favorite memories will always be season 6...Lightspeed Rescue.

Ahh...Let's also not forget Bulk & Skull.

Bulk and Skull, the Rangers, Zordon, Alpha, Rita, Lord Zedd and so much more were reasons I love Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
Even the Disney-era had it's share of greatness, like bringing back Tommy in Dino Thunder, and Adam in Operation Overdrive.
I look forward to hearing what Saban's plans are, and I have little dobt it be fantastic.

*expressing surprise at male Yellow Ranger*
The Yellow Mystic Ranger was a dude too. Then again, that series was totally off its rocker -_-

But yeah, they can make Power Rangers again. Just try to have an over-arching plot in addition to the Monster Of The Week: that's what made Dinothunder, Time Force (towards the end), and the original few series so good.

It's a running gag from a certain website, that showed a side by side comparison of a girl who looked just like her.
The more creepier one is the rumor that Austin St John (Jason, the original red Power ranger) does GAY porn, with a side-by-side image as well.

Actually Austin St. John starred in only ONE gay porn, and it was just him being blown apparently, after that he let himself go and kinda lost all work.

well unless they can get poor quality japanese stock footage and edit out the horribly offensive japanese people in it (to american audiences, that is. note how they still keep the villain) and add their cool americans in racist clothing (black guy in black and asian girl in yellow? great idea guys!), but keep that poor quality mech footage which looked terrible even by 90s standards, (since saban didn't want to waste money on actually making a new show completely, just a terrible edit), keep in all the lame puns and terrible voice acting, then it just won't be power rangers.

btw i was a huge power rangers fan as a kid, but even at age 5 i found it incredible cheesy and with shitty SFX.
