Saints row 2 glitch? Cannot finish game?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious...but I have spent the last several hours trying to beat (or at least continue) Saints Row 2.

I've just beaten the mission "Salting the Land...Again." and there are not missions that appear to be available. There is one Ultor Stronghold mission still available but when I go to the mission area, I cannot find the start marker. As far as I can tell, there is none. I own 44/45 of the hoods and from the looks of the map, everything but the row, the prison, and the plant. I'm about 73% done(off the top of my head)and have infinite respect. I have never cheated. I'm playing on casual difficulty.

I hope thats enough information...Can anyone help me? Maybe this is a common problem, I've looked around and searched google with no results..Any idea what I should do?

I hate to be the one to say this. But I just watched the Zero Puctuation video for Saints Row 2 this morning (I was bored). I think I remember the words in the credits said something about a glitch stopping him from completing the game. I think.

Well...at least I'm not the only one...I'd ask him if he had any idea what to do...but I doubt that I'd actually get a response.

Where are you looking for the misson marker? If memory serves the marker is inside the actually mall and not outside like the map makes you think.

Good thought, but I couldn't find a way in...not that I remember anyway, I'll take a look...I was actually beginning to think that it must be underground of something.

Here's what you do:

You have to do a fortress mission for the shopping center where you fought the guy in the bulldog with a machine gun on it.
After you do that you get a new mission, which involves attempted assassination, then something else which you'll have to play to find out, need more help pm me.

hi m8 i have the exact same problem have u finishd th game yet...its really aNNoying me...i cant believe theyr make a game and only on some machines u can finish it with...ppl lyk this who put o some nerd who makes game reviews said u cnt finsh it r idiots..there are ppl who can finish it and i wanna no how...im annoyd cause ive bought this game and in hope i culd finish it...im absolutly wrapped in the stroy line and i cnt even see the eneding now thats shitty...plz reply if u have finished the game cheers...(i cnt seem to find anyone else with our same problem even on google...nowhere)

Yeah, I had a little trouble finding that marker.

I found it, and have since finished the game. To be honest, I don't see Yahtzee's problem with the respect mechanic. Except for a couple of times near the start, I always had enough to start the next mission. Heck, by the time I had gotten around to fighting the Brotherhood (I took down the Ronin and Samdi first) I had unlocked infinite respect*

get all the tapes from police station, + the criminal record (which has his phone number) than call him, and i believe there are 3 missions with that, including defending some church i believe
