super hero options after completing the game.

after you complete the game for $1M you can buy a safehouse in the mountains and it has a special wardrobe that you can mix and match to give yourself laser eyes, the power of flight, super strength etc.

also, it has it's own garage where you can turn any car, boat or plane into a super car, boat or plane.

so the cars get machine guns, or the abilty to turn into a jet or are amphibious.

also capes.

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES! CO-OP LASER DUALS IN THE AIR! TRANSFORMER ROBOT STYLE FIGHTS! 4 PLAYER CO-OP!

I AM GONNA BE REALLY DISSAPOINTED WHEN THEY DON'T PUT THESE IN!

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

THIS, oh yes this. I know it's Yahtzee's idea, but he was totally right about it: when I played it wasn't until the last chapter that I realized I was playing as an un-subtle cousin to Harley, face paint and all.

I want to get Julius back as a full character, I miss Keith David's bad ass voice over.
Without going into details and ruining it for anyone who didn't find that extra mission in the police station after you beat Ultor, the whole Julius thing is kindof hard to pull off given how they left it. It would require some serious plot justificaiton.

I want to see Keith David back too, but it ain't gonna happen.

As for what I want, I want another Saints Row 2. Beef it up a little, sure. New weapons? Why not. I'm not picky. As long as it keeps the insanity and the chaos.

I've never gotten into GTA-style games because they invariably make me do boring things I don't want to do. If I wanted to take my cousin to dinner, or what have you, I would call up my actual cousin and go to real dinner. Sure SR2 had escort missions I didn't care for, but you know what? It never made me do them. There was enough in the world to let me avoid those things I found dull or frustrating. After a couple levels of crowd control I gave up on it because the ragdolls pinwheeling off oncoming trains just stopped being fun for me. No problem.

I don't want to invoke the ire of GTA fanboys by beating up on it. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying the things that made me dislike it were absent here.

As long as SR3 keeps the chaos and the humor and lets me, say, buzz old ladies in the street with an attack helicopter for no other rason than I felt like it, we're cool.

Oh, and keep the cockney voice. So good.

More varied citizen models. I do love running over dear old grandma, but I want more. After all, it's already a very silly game, so why not go all out?

Better gang customization, more options with dealing with gangs (like you said), branching story and dialogue options, a deeper game in general.

definatly a free mode online and the ability to hijack trains
So being more like Red Dead (respectively)? I like the idea of an online free mode, but I was dissapointed by train robbing.

-Make things like skateboards and rollerskate useable. Nothing too important, and I could live without it, but it'd just be a cool little detail.
I like this idea... I like this idea, a lot.

-More options for dealing with rival gangs. Sure outright destroying them is fun, but why not form a truce and work with them, or steal members of their gang and add them to yours. Theres a whole spectrum of ideas that could make this work.
This is stepping into simulation territory, a territory not many people enjoyed out of Fable II and I can see a lot more absolutely hating it in a sandbox game such as Saints Row because you're supposed to be this ultimate badass that bends to nothing but shatters everything.

That said, I wouldn't mind such a game being separately made and of its own franchise. I'd appreciate something like that.

-Deal with Troy. I enjoy a good, solid story, and the loose end that is the Stillwater police chiff is driving me nuts. Kill him, redeem him, just do something.
Methinks he gets chosen to chase you down by the FBI's equivalent and then decides to instead join you. That or he stays true to his goals and you have to kill him.

I'm saying the process of him chasing you down is how I'd handle it and I can see Volition walking down this path, it's the most likely of outcomes. I have no idea on whether or not he joins you, but isn't he a fan favorite? Then again, they may just ignore him entirely as that's how real life works sometimes.

-Better gang customization. Whats there now is kind of cool, but it feels lacking. I'd like to pimp out indiviual members.
How about different levels of gang members and customizing said levels? Such as enforcers, grunts, etc. And you design each level of such as you want them so you know which ones to better bring on a mission to keep your ass healthy free of caps.

-Cover system. In a game where bullets will fly at any given moment, this just seems natural, no?
Third Person Shooters rarely work in this case... Gears of War was... well, geared towards it and games such as Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row can't really appreciate the same effect that Gears of War had with it. Especially considering it gets a lot crazier than Gears of War.

But who knows? They may have figured a way to pull it off. I just don't like hiding behind cars that will explode and having a hell of a time no longer being in cover. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened a lot to me.

EDIT: I forgot to say what I wanted, didn't I?

Hmm...

I want more hairstyles and outfits to choose from for my character. I appreciated the levels of it, but I felt some ears were lacking. Also the ability to make your own color for skin and hair, sometimes I want to walk around like a Smurf that wasn't allowed to play Smurf games because he was too tall and later snapped into Psychopathic Homicidal Smurf.

I also wouldn't mind a revamped walking selection.

I also want to attach guns to vehicles of any sort... oh like none of you thought of the Twisted Metal Factor when you played this game.

Every car in the game felt like they went at the same speed. Some were faster getting to the top speed but eventually they all arrived at the universal top speed.

I would also like more realistic sounds from the cars as well as better handling

Bigger map, more/better choppers, jets (oh God, bring back the Harrier from San Andreas...), more gas stations (am I the only one who continuously drove around gas stations with a cop tail and getting them to ram into it? or ramming into it yourself only to be blown away a couple streets unharmed and keep driving?), better handling (mostly fixed with the latest in my list though) but more than anything:
PROPER PC CODING so the game doesn't lag like a ***** and take so much fun from it :<

better graphics. thats the only reason i didn't get the previous games. why do they think they can get away with PS2 graphics on a 2008 PS3 game?
The same reason GTA did until IV? Cause the gameplay is so awesome and they find it more important for it to run smooth (however, guys who ported to PC need a bitchslap) with a zillion cars and people around and the ability for your car to not disappear the moment you turn around than a little detail eye candy.

Female hairs need an overhaul.
Seriously, 9/10ths of them were hideous, and that's being generous.
I suppose that ties in with the graphical overhaul, but I wasn't displeased with the game. It looked alright, and the customization was excellent. Car controls weren't great, though. I felt like I was driving a go-kart through pudding half the time.
Just bears repeating what others said: More customization, and let the team go overboard.

Oh, and give the females better voices, maybe. Female cockney accent? 30s mobster? Psychopathic ex-girlfriend? Anything to give it a bit of flair, as male characters at least had one accent to their merit that was pleasant to listen to.

More voices. SR2 had 3, stereotypical black gangster, stereotypical mexican gangster, and finally British guy.

More of the awesome cutscences that made your character look like a super spy.

A decent goddamn port to PC....
I would love to see this, above all else.

Otherwise, I want to see: more customization options (clothing and weapons), better driving, more crazy antics, and *crosses fingers* The Character Creator from APB.

EDIT: More voices as well. The voices sucked in SR2...
I disagree. The British male voice always seemed hilariously out of place to me.

To the point, the things I'd like to see are more weapon options. Perhaps a mild RPG system or something. Better car modifications would be nice.

To be honest, really all I'd need is a new entry in a new city to jump back in. It's one of the best co-op games out there in my opinion and even the single player experience is enjoyable.
