Just been catching up on gameplay trailers, getting myself more hyped for the game, and bloody hell.

Man cannons? Beating dudes to death with a purple dildo? Jumping out of a flying plane, shooting up bad guys, then going through the windscreen of the same airplane!?

The pure unbridled fun I can see myself having with this game is blowing my mind.

So, fellow escapists, what are you most looking foward to in Saints Row the Third?

Hmm, it's hard to pin down what exactly I'm looking forward to the most.

I mean there's everything mentioned, plus there's a level based on TRON, a support character who's a pimp and talks with an auto-tuned voicebox, and a group of enemies who own a heli-carrier (which I assume you eventually steal or blow up at some point).

I guess right now I'm most looking forward to seeing an exploding heli-carrier.

I'm most looking forward to the character creation, and all of the new clothing/accessory options. I'm a sucker for good character customization.

Probably the plot/story. I know it's a ridiculous thing to look forward to in a game like this, but there it is.

My favourite part of Saints Row 2 was that I got to see my shirtless, blue-haired, anorexic, dual-revolver-wielding maniac kick ass and take names in a delicious combination of gameplay and awesome cut-scenes (I love cut-scenes, always will, sorry Yahtzee).

You don't rise to the top of the criminal underworld in a city by being calm and reasonable; watching my guy ride the wave of insanity and ruthlessness to the top was an experience of pure joy, and it was only possible because the game made a plot that supported it. I have rarely felt so attached to a character, customised or otherwise.

I'm going nuts waiting for this game. I'll be buying Skyrim the day it comes out, just so I'll have something to do - those last few days!

To be honest I am looking forward to everything in Saint's Row the Third. I loved SR1 and SR2 and I see absolutely no reason why I won't love SR3. I just can't wait to play it. I just hate it that Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, and Saint's Row all come out within 4 days of each other with AC and SR coming out on the same day... SO MUCH GAMING IN NOVEMBER.

I think GTA and Saints row should continue on the paths they are on. One serious and well crafted story that tries it's best to model real life to the extent a fun game should allow. The other a stupid fun game where you just play it for the sheer awesomeness.

I have a feeling that its going to be a bit disjointed as a game a jack of all trades master of none, wallowing about directionless among a horde of diversions/minigames.

have you d/l'ed the char custom demo that let's you mess around designing different chars to use for game, or upload for others to see? I have like 8 new games I should be playing, but been spending hrs just fcking with builds.
