Uh....

Help me out here.

They publish some games that I like, and manage to not screw them up too badly (in aggregate).

Er... did that count as nice? I don't know if I can manage anything better.

Oh! Wait! Yes I can!

EA is considerate enough to offer a challenge to public relations people everywhere!

I'm 100% sure that the gaming industry would take a MASSIVE hit if they went under. I know that's impossible with all the sports games year after year but still true. Not sure thats nice though its just a fact... I have no problem with EA at all.

Well, Origin has one thing going for it in comparison to Steam:

I can PLAY my fucking games while DOWNLOADING/INSTALLING other ones.

SERIOUSLY steam, why can't you do both at the same fucking time, too? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT. Shit I wanted to play some other games I had while waiting for skyrim, BUT NO. I COULD NOT. And I didn't really feel like playing my non-steam games.

So, yeah, Origin isn't retarded in that aspect.

Otherwise they publish lots of games that I like. Yaaay.

I will say that I like how Origin, for all its flaws, separates DLC from the games in the store and links to a specific list of DLC from the library. They published Mass Effect. They're suing zynga, which makes me happy.

Good things, eh? Let's see...

Their studio made Mirror's Edge. I'm still waiting for a sequel.

The company's COO is Peter Moore.

Dragon Age:Origins was my favorite RPG in the last decade, but then again, I can thank BioWare for that.

Well.. I guess I like the fact that they publish relatively unknown games like Mirrors Edge and Kingdoms of Amalur, who otherwise wouldn't get out of developer hell.

The turning of every IP into a homogenized co-op shooter makes me sad though. (Rip Dead Space)
And that whole rent-a-server system for Battlefield 3. Fuck that.

The games their devs make are pretty fun.

I don't think I've played any game more this year then BF3 and ME3

The only good thing about EA is that they are linked to some decent games. Said games are decent in spite of EA, as opposed to because of them. Regardless of what they think.

When they came into existence, they were a genuinely motivated group of people who wanted to make games, not the money-grabbing monstrosity it's grown into.

They sure know how to pick studios. BioWare, Bullfrog... Sure, they kill most of them, but they know which ones are good.

At least they're TRYING to give Steam a run for its money. Sure, they're doing it as wrong as you can do it, but competition is USUALLY a positive.

Whilst most of these games are relatively shlocky, they do publish a good amount of games, and I'm of the firm belief that every game ever made has SOME sort of value.

It's fun to blame EA for everything ever. They're a good scapegoat for angry gamers on the internet.

They DON'T HAVE A FEUD WITH VALVE. NOT AT ALL.
