What I would love to see is how they pitched this study to whoever it was provided the funding. I prefer guys who are nerdy to guys who aren't. Especially if they're gamers.
Not because I'm one but because I actually do gain enjoyment from watching someone play a game. I think it must come from when I watched my brother play on his games for hours on end. I played when he wasn't around too, and when he got back he'd either play, we'd go on multiplayer or I'd play (sometimes but not much). I don't know.
One rule is that they have to have basic hygiene but that applies to everyone.
