Show me the thing's steaming corpse, and I'll say "Yup, that's Bigfoot, all right." Until then, don't wanna hear it.

I really gotta stop buying into escapist headlines.

"this was informative"

So if it is as conclusive as the said average north american finding random hair and bent tree's, how is it any where near 95%

While I won't deny the possibility of existence, I won't really believe until they bring back a true corpse.
Wouldn't a simple DNA sample do? Maybe in conjunction with a film?

Yeah, this seems like an attempt at "OH look, we just (JUST) might have something worthwhile, fund us!". I don't buy any of this until some proper proof is found, and not a corpse, please. C'mon, we just found the thing, and we're already killing it!? I don't want a repeat of undead nightmare's
unbelievably sad, yet a little funny sasquatch quest

Airtight is DNA evidence. And then it'd have to be pretty radical too...

So no, no Yeti exists until I see a corpse or some very, very impressive authenticated video evidence.

Just cus we haven't found something doesn't make it not real. Don't get me wrong I'm highly skeptical that something as large as Bigfoot/Yeti could be hiding particularly in North America and nobody's randomly hit one with a truck. Unless there is some super magic trick I doubt very much that Nessie is real either but that doesn't make them impossible. The Megamouth Shark turned out to be real. Giant Squid turned out to be real. The Coelcanyth (however you spell that fish) turned out to be real. Every so often we stumble over something that ought not exist.

Still wow with the bait and switch. I more interested in finding a kraken anyhow.

"...various markers that Yetis mark their territory with."

How do you prove that? Seriously. It's like saying aliens were in your house because a stapler is placed a certain way, and aliens always move staplers to that exact position.

That proves it! The Yeti is real and, by extention, Bigfoot, the Lock Ness Monster, and la Chubacabra! /takes off tin foil hat

... In less then a week? It's been so many years people dedicated their lives to finding proof in things, even more so that relate to realistic factors like black holes then mythical beasts. Not only do I not believe them, but it's so obvious they want to be right.

Finding hair and foot prints is not good enough, at all. What we need since we're all very well advised today is seeing a corpse, the Yeti alive... something more then samples. Because blurry photos and hair just doesn't cut it anymore.
Haha yeah I was thinking the same thing. I'm open to seeing what they have but for something that's been nothing but pure speculation for so long, you're telling me their group was able to simply put their minds to it, head out into the mountains, and find their proof within a week? If it was that easy you'd think we would have discovered these things by now.

You know what could be more interesting? If they found a werewolf. Then we could harness the were-gene (?) and be able to use it! :D
"Were" meaning "man", finding the "were" gene isn't that exciting, TBH.

I find it curious how many mythologies seem to originate in areas that one could consider remote, and boring with little to do.

What the fuck escapist? The headline trick again? Is your traffic REALLY that low? "Hey look guys something interesting!" **opens page** "LOL JK missrepresented the headline, made you look!"

It's like shouting LESBIANS [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/critical-miss/9113-Critical-Miss-LESBIANS] ......... "Well seeing as how you are here..."
Lawl 5555 posts :D
Funny comic too, took me a second to get it.

As a scientist, I read tons of idiot-science news. OMG WE FOUND ALEINS ON METERORDiS [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/108252-NASA-Scientist-Claims-to-Have-Found-Evidence-of-Extraterrestrial-Life].

Its like watching the abomination "apocalypse island" on nat geo, or anything on spontaneous human combustion ever. Its not science, its not credible, but how are media types supposed to tell the difference? Turns out its really hard.
