Alright lads and ladies. Which 2020 game should I spend my hard earned pennies on.

To clarify, when you say Doom 2, do you mean Doom Eternal?

Yes, I was being a bit tongue in cheek. But it looks very good.
Then yeah, get Doom Eternal.

Granted, of your list, it and RE3 are the only entries I've played, but it's good. Very good. It sorted out every issue I had with Doom 2016, and it's in my top 10 FPS list. I'm probably sounding a bit like B-cell here, but it's a game I definitely reccomend.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is probably the most different from its predecessor out of any of those, so if you're being tongue-in-cheek about not needing them because you have the originals, go for that one. It's also just generally really well put together.

Get Doom 2, there's a bazillion mods and brutal doom in particular is very good.

Yes, I read the above when you said you being tongue in cheek, but I'd probably have said Doom2 even if it wasn't in the poll.

Persona 5 Royal is the most bang for your buck, but you've basically already played most of it.

R3make is good, but short. Buy it cheap, like a sale, or secondhand if that's an option.

Got no hands-on experience with Nioh or FF7 Remake, so won't comment.

Which leaves Doom Eternal. It's more Doom, but changes up and improves just enough to not feel like a rehash.

Trick question. Just googled it and they told me the time would be best spent writing a 1500 page novel or charity work. And also the SAPS are soon to be knocking on my door. So this VPN seems to be working at least.

Of the list I'd probably recommend Doom Eternal first, then the FF7 remake, which is significantly better when you have played the original incidentally.

RE3make, I'd say wait for a good sale since it's rather short and doesn't offer much for a replay save for doing it over again.

P5R by all accounts is very very good but I don't know how much I'd be willing to pay full price for it when the bulk of it is something you've already played.

And I have no experience with the Nioh franchise so you're on your own there.

Everyone is suggesting Doom, but out of all the games on your list Doom is by far the shortest game. So if you want the most bang for your hard earned Pennies. Get any game other than Doom IMO so you get the most out of whatever game you do get.

Except RE3. Don't get that.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Doom Eternal has a really good length for its single player and the multi is really fun.

For the most bang for your buck, go with persona, but those games are very long.

FF7 remake sounds pretty good, not out on pc though so haven't played it.

I liked the resident evil 2 remake but it sounds like the RE3 one is very short and doesn't even have the mercenaries mode in it, so I would wait for that one to be on a good sale.

I didn't get into the first Nioh game, not the right person to ask about 2.

No Bubsy shilling? Or do you think that @fOx is of such a refined taste that of course he has already sensually experienced Bubsy?

Cuz he doesn't and he hasn't.
Fox clearly stated that he's looking for a 2020 game and, unfortunately, there's no Bubsy game set in the year 2020 that I know of.

Although, TBH, I think Bubsy 3D: Bubsy Visits the James Turrell Retrospective would suite Fox's tastes for cutting social commentary pretty well.

It's been a long time since I heard that name. That's definitely a better game than The Woolies Strike Back, at least.

All of these should bring you a decent bang-for-your-buck... except, as much as it pains me to say it, REmak3. Buy that one while on a sale, once you're really itching for that RE fix.
