I got that video too. Haven't watched it and it's so annoyingly pervasive.
I once, just ONCE, watched an anti-creationist video and now get many related videos which I have no interest in. I mean, with all of subscriptions being game-related in some way, why aren't I getting many game-related suggestions? It's all "why people laugh at creationists (part 50 billion)".

It's usually crap. I don't really give a damn anymore , I only watch my subs and what I look-up myself.

Just in case for anyone who needs dire measure against this situation(all it takes it 1 click to ruin your suggested vids). you can go to "history(on the top left)" then click "clear all watch history".

For recommended channels, click little "x" beside recommended channels in the history.
Do both and your YouTube front page is clean sheet.

Pretty much all the time the majority of the suggested videos are about Minecraft. I don't watch Minecraft.

You know the YouTube system is fucked when it suggests the same videos for months.

Also screw Racist Mario, I ain't gonna give in to watching it, no matter how many times it's shoved in my face.

Marty needs more recognition, his "Why Do People Laugh at Spirit Science" vids are the funniest thing ever.

And if we are at spirit science, I once had the entire Space Jew video (as in, the ENTIRE hour long video) show up as the advertisement... before a Marty video! Apparently the YouTube advertisement algorithms are either stupid as fuck or they have one hell of a sense of humor...

I'm honestly surprised how well it's been going for me. Normally, I end up with completely unrelated videos in my Suggested Box, and while sometimes I do get some, I end up mostly seeing my videos in the suggested video box or in the related next to one of my uploads. Which is weird because YouTube never used to acknowledge that I even existed.

I don't really care about those, so I'm not bothered but it confuses my why it thinks I want to see MLP-related stuff?
Apart from that, it's mostly let's plays, science-stuff and british comedy, which at least I understand.

For the longest time on Game Grumps videos there has been videos called 50 funny gifs with sound, with a thumbnail of a woman getting her ass slapped, and 8 crazy facts about your face. They have been there, constantly, for a long time. Its even a joke/rage topic in the comments of the Game Grumps videos themselves.

I find videos relevant to what I'm watching less common, and more videos from the uploader. I suppose this would be fine if I was browsing their channel, but then I can find all of that in one fucking spot on their channel. What I'm TRYING to do is find that thing that was like this whose name I cannot recall, hoping it would be related....turns out related no longer has the meaning I enjoyed some years ago.

The reason you're getting that mario suggestion is because of that thumbnail. It's click-bait and it's how videos gain an undue enormous amount of views. It won't go away because a lot of people haven't seen it yet. Once enough people see it and stop clicking on it, it will go away.

Well, outside of suggested videos of videos I've already seen of YouTube channels I'm even subscribed to at times, I used to get videos of various "couples" kissing each other erotically with video titles akin to what you'll find on an ameteur porn site as well as the most trending YouTube video this month... After I did some setting adjustments, most of those videos usually don't pop up anymore unless I just so happen to go looking for a similar video...

Other than that, I never click on those suggested/promoted videos because I just don't want to...
