Look, I respect them for releasing the game for only 15 bucks, but seriously? What about those of us without Xbox Live? What are we to do? Too bad, I was really looking forward to that game.
This is an outrage.

It's $15 bucks. GameStop would probably demand more than that to stock it.

Digital Distribution carves up the price on a pro-rata basis. In other words, Microsoft takes 40%, even if it's one buck or $20. Hence, smaller, cheaper games are possible.

It's mainly an online game anyway. If you don't have Live, what's the point in getting it?

The game didn't sell that well and it wasn't received that well. Rather than waste money on stocking the selves at Gamestop where it will be overshadowed by Call of Duty Black Ops and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, they decided to take the cheaper route.

You can't really blame them. Not to mention that the majority of the game is played Online, if you can't download it, you won't really be able to use some of the better features.

Well it's really damn expensive to bring a game to retail, and time consuming too. Also Live is free, and since it's mainly an online game (from what I've seen of it) having it be download only isn't that surprising.
