Well whoever the killer is I hope they make the next round about Husbandos for a change of perspective.

Hmm... I seem to remember reading another thread that was predominantly about waifus...

I think it was called Round 68...

You are only dooming yourselves.
Wait, I don't remember that round. I think I might have been involved.. somehow..

Also ironically- anyone to call dibs on Miia or aka call her their 'waifu' should remember one factor ...

She already has someone, Darling. The dude whom looks after all the other monster girls. So yeah not wise to have her as a waifu.

*slaps* If you have to explain the joke, you've fucked it up.

Try again, this time with feeling!

Well I'm fairly certain Frappe's not a girl, so I couldn't just post a basic white girl. I suppose the next best thing I could have posted was a pumpkin spice anything...

Touche' I suppose. Still, your humor can definitely be on par when effort is applied lol.
It's 1:30 in the morning, you get white girl jokes.

Gah... Sorry. Going over the old threads left me dazed and confused.

Not that I wasn't already.

Although from what I've seen, most of these threads tend to degenerate into Waifu wars.

Still, gives me some ideas on how to cause some mayhem / murder everyone / figure out people's M.O.s for next time.

Part 4 - Cycle Vote:

The game's voting has a strictly enforced time limit. All participants have TWO DAYS at absolute most to cast their votes. If votes do not reach 65% in participation, the Killer will be spared, and a random non-voted person will be killed off instead.
Ug, of COURSE you would be one of the like two people who read the rules. As it stands though, 48 hours would be tomorrow morning 8:26 am. It will be a cold day in hell before I get up that early on a Sunday after working all Saturday to tally votes (I'm only just finishing up now). The only fair way for me to do that is tack the time necessary on to bring us to 8pm, which has been our standard deadline time before it got messed up. If people want I can cut it back a few hours to like noon so they know earlier Sunday, but tomorrow morning is just not happening.

@Roy: @Arma: @SR: I'm just saying... rules are there for a reason... this hurts the killer because if we didn't have enough votes (s)he could have gotten away with a free round of not having to be voted for (assuming we didn't hit the 65%, and the killer remembered to vote)

This is actually a super good point I hadn't even considered.

It could even mean it would be in the best interest of Killer/Lawyer/Doppel to not vote at all under certain circumstances, and keep the votes under 65%! What intriguing ramifications, hmmm...

EDIT: Though there really is a simple solution. Simply state that all votes submitted after a designated cut-off point will not be counted. This way, you uphold the 48 hours and don't need to get up super early on sunday morning or anything like that. It doesn't really matter if the votes are tallied a few hours after the cut-off point.

@Phat_Hippity_Beats

Or, by reading the rules more closely, Killer/Lawyer/Doppel only voting every third round. Otherwise they get dropped. And in the cases where no one is voting, it is ironically better for the lawyer / Doppel to vote for themselves as the GM will only pick a random non-killer with no votes.

Being that they have no control over the voting habits of everyone, it'd be tricky to pull off a victory by default. But at this rate, plausible.

Do you still write a death post due to arbitrary inactivity?

It would be an insane edge case, but very hilarious if it did happen.

If you can't be bothered to vote, you probably can't be bothered to write a death post, so I rather doubt it.

Ha ha HA HA ha.. That's right, find all the loopholes, feed the game's issues to the masses. Break the game, by staying in the rules. You'll be a fine replacement if I ever leave. We'll drive them mad, and ascend from their chaos.

I really dislike this approach. It's completely against the spirit of the SK game. Having the Killer/Lawyer/Doppelganger purposely not vote and game the system so they get a random kill isn't what SK is suppose to be about. Executions are suppose to be special times when the mob kills innocents and the paranoia continues to swirl out of control.

If I were a GM I'd tell my Killer after the first time they fails to vote that I'll be including their name in the random executions if they continue.

As a GM (though admittedly I've yet to GM a round of SK and won't be anytime soon) I've always considered the rules as guidelines - the most important thing is to maintain the intent behind them rather than follow them exactly. The point of the voting lasting for 2 days and needing 65% of the votes always seemed like a way to speed along the game. Everyone is suppose to vote. If the GM thinks extending the voting time will help, I'd say it's within their power to do so.

Lay off of Roy. He's doing a fine job in my opinion.

Where as as long as it's within the rules, this is not a bad plan. Honestly, there's no reason to not look for every edge you can find.

I totally understand, but we were already up to 70% at time of posting anyway, so I figured it wouldn't be much of an issue. I'll announce around noon for a happy medium.

Eh... I try to be more of a lawful good type. I'll see how that pans out when I inevitably become the killer o_0

Yeah, thanks for clarifying. It seems a bit cheap to me as well. Maybe I should edit my post as to not to give any ideas >_<
